"Good not great this year for us."

Dancing - spectacular. All that is all that...amazing talent. Musicians - fantastic. Vocals - We were disappointed. And honestly the group of vocalists didn't look into it at all tonight. Stage/decorations - very nice. Snowflakes and smoke machine - so annoying it took away from the show. We had premium seats in row 6. Large "snowflakes" landed on our heads and faces constantly. The smoke was so thick at times you could not see the performers clearly. We have come to this show every year for the last 5 years....if this 2025 version was the first we saw, we would not be so eager to come back. Mr. Braxton, you have an amazing voice but we aren't a fan of the exagerated holding of. notes on every song. Overall more variety is needed. We enjoy the religious songs, but the classic Christmas carols also need more stage time. Also - I am sorry, but it is time to retire the comedian. Good show this year, not great.

The Carolina Oprey is a beautiful building. The theater is small enough that there is no bad seating. We attended the Christmas Show & I was blown away with the quality of the performance. The performers were topnotch professionals, & costuming & set designs were gorgeous. From the singing, dancing, & more, this is a class act. I especially liked that although this is a variety show, it includes the birth of Jesus as the reason for the season. I highly recommend that anyone of any age attend this show. It was a highlight of my trip to Myrtle Beach!

Best show ever. The only drawback is the fake snow landing in our eyes and breathing it in. We love the opry and travel there at least 6 times a year. It doesn't get any better.

The Carolina Opry is an outstanding venue and music experience. They do a phenomenal job during the region season and out do themselves in their Christmas show. The cast is outstanding, versatile, and show that they enjoy performing for the audience. The song selection contains a wide variety that provides something for everyone. They mix up serious performing with comedic interludes that keep the flow moving. There is a mixture of long-time cast members and more than capable "newbies" that fit right in. The venue is so well decorated you know you are in for a beautiful experience. You certainly leave the theater in the holiday season. It was especially nice to make a visit with Santa during intermission. He greeted young and not so young with a big Ho, Ho, Ho. Calvin Gilmore knows how to put on an unbelievable show that warms the heart year after year. This is one show not to be missed be it the regular season or the Christmas season.
