Best Western Plus Media Center Inn & Suites in Burbank, CA

Best Western Plus Media Center Inn & Suites was a good place to stay if going to Burbank Studios. The two bedroom suite is very spacious, however, the hot water from the bathroom faucet was hard to get hot and stay hot! The distance seems like you can walk to Burbank Studios is true if you are going to gate 2 but not gate 3 and 4. This hotel isn't too far from the Burbank airport, however, Uber isn't a cheap fare!

This hotel has an amazing location. It's walkable to a varied selection of restaurants and shops on Riverside Drive. It has a view of the Warner Brothers studio water tower.

The gentleman at the front desk was very nice during check-in and the room had a fridge, microwave and hair dryer. They offer free underground parking which was very nice and it's walking distance to several restaurants. Unfortunately that's where the good points end. Upon entering the room the A/C was off and it was 86°F. The desktop and one of the nightstands were dirty and the toilet paper holder was falling off the wall. The sink didn't properly drain and the toilet wouldn't flush properly.

This is Soley based on my experience. We recently stayed at this property and had an overall decent experience, but there are some things worth noting. I wasn't informed whether breakfast was offered, so I can’t comment on that. I don't know if they have a swimming pool, or gym because I was not made aware of that as well so can't comment. The service was quite basic. As a Platinum member with Best Western, I was disappointed by the lack of recognition or benefits. No room upgrade, no complimentary water, and no meaningful perks. In fact, I’ve seen better treatment with Gold status at other hotel chains, including more flexible late check-out options. I requested a late check-out and was only given an extra hour, but front desk was already calling my phone by 11:55 a.m. as I was walking out the door. The room itself was a good size and came with a couch, desk, microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker. The fridge was a little worn, but functional. TV channels worked on some channels, basic cable every other channel had volume some didn't. no app connections, place could use new pillow as the pillows were not at all comfortable, AC worked great, price was not too bad, especially being a holiday weekend. The location is very convenient, close to fast food and restaurants, coffee shops, a gas station, and just down the road from Warner Brothers and Universal Studios. We would consider staying here again for the location, I do feel Best Western needs to re-evaluate how it treats its elite members. If there’s no noticeable benefit to having Platinum status, the status labels feel meaningless. not with just this hotel, with others as well.
