Best Western Plus Media Center Inn & Suites in Burbank, CA

This is Soley based on my experience. We recently stayed at this property and had an overall decent experience, but there are some things worth noting. I wasn't informed whether breakfast was offered, so I can’t comment on that. I don't know if they have a swimming pool, or gym because I was not made aware of that as well so can't comment. The service was quite basic. As a Platinum member with Best Western, I was disappointed by the lack of recognition or benefits. No room upgrade, no complimentary water, and no meaningful perks. In fact, I’ve seen better treatment with Gold status at other hotel chains, including more flexible late check-out options. I requested a late check-out and was only given an extra hour, but front desk was already calling my phone by 11:55 a.m. as I was walking out the door. The room itself was a good size and came with a couch, desk, microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker. The fridge was a little worn, but functional. TV channels worked on some channels, basic cable every other channel had volume some didn't. no app connections, place could use new pillow as the pillows were not at all comfortable, AC worked great, price was not too bad, especially being a holiday weekend. The location is very convenient, close to fast food and restaurants, coffee shops, a gas station, and just down the road from Warner Brothers and Universal Studios. We would consider staying here again for the location, I do feel Best Western needs to re-evaluate how it treats its elite members. If there’s no noticeable benefit to having Platinum status, the status labels feel meaningless. not with just this hotel, with others as well.

VERY disappointed with the service (or lack there of). Very overpriced. No late check out (i even asked if I could pay for a half or even a 3/4 a day) but they said no, so I had to book a FULL extra day even though we didn't sleep there another night. Lobby Clerk that sat at front desk never greeted us, never looked up from phone or computer to say good morning or good afternoon. My mother is elderly and we asked for an extra pillow - we were told "NO, we don't have any extra pillows". What hotel doesn't have a single extra pillow. I am guessing this is new ownership - stayed here before years ago and used to put my parents up 2007 - 2014 when they visited and it was SO much better. Very disappointed

This was a very nice BW+. Overall, the hotel was very clean and inviting. The room was clean and comfortable, although a bit strangely laid out with the bathroom lavatory in the living space rather than in the room with the bathtub and toilet. The bed, which is one of the most important aspects of a hotel room was very comfortable. Additionally, the hotel is near a variety of restaurants and tourist attractions, e.g., Warner Brothers & Universal). So, if your ‘business’ is in Burbank, this is an excellent choice of hotel. The breakfast, however, at this BW+ was disappointing. Considering that this was a BW+ and given the high—end aspects of the hotel (e..g., furniture and fixtures), the expectation was higher. But the selection was limited and more typical of a lower-end BW. The coffee machine was good, providing a fresh grind of coffee for regular coffee, lattes, cappuccinos, etc. However the machine is rather slow, causing a back-up of guests at busy times. Parking was provided in an underground garage, which was well-lit, very clean, had generously sized parking spaces, and could accommodate a large number of vehicles.

Great location in Burbank, walking distance to the Warner Bros studio, close enough to some decent restaurants and you can hop on the Burbank bus to get to Universal Studios if you don't want to drive. Also a short drive to the Griffith Observatory and Zoo.

It's a quiet hotel, with an underground parking garage. I was worried it'd be cramped but it was a good amount of space and easy to go in/out. The hotel itself was very hot, but could've been the sun let in through all the windows. I will say the AC definitely took a while to cool down our room, but eventually it lowered so I was satisified! I think the rooms could've been cleaner; however, I had a good stay for the price and location to Universal Studios Hollywood.
