Allow your local guide to walk you through the magic of the French Quarter on this French Quarter, Cemetery, and Voodoo tour. Get lost in the history of New Orleans Voodoo, culture, history, and architecture.

St. Louis Cemetery #1, New Orleans’ oldest, continuously operated above ground Catholic cemetery is the highlight of our 3-in-1 walking tour. Learn about the unique interment process, burial practices, and visit tombs of historical importance, including the tomb and purported final resting place of the famous Voodoo Queen, Marie Laveau. Voodoo practices and a stroll through the culturally significant Congo Square will appeal to your interests as well. Or, perhaps French Quarter architecture, culture and history are more your thing. You will get all of this and more on this French Quarter, Cemetery and Voodoo Walking Tour.

PLEASE NOTE: St. Louis Cemetery #1 is still closed to the public due to systemic cemetery closures by the Archdiocese of New Orleans. We do not enter St. Louis #1 on this tour.

As the tour heads toward the cemetery, unique facts regarding New Orleans customs, traditions, architecture and superstitions will be discussed. A brief break at the Basin Street Visitor’s Center will give you a chance to catch your breath and digest the wealth of information you learned the first half of your tour.

Continuing on, you will delve into the deep history of Voodoo and then conclude the tour at Congo Square, located in picturesque Louis Armstrong Park.

Please note: All tours go rain or shine. There are no refunds for inclement weather if the tour departs as scheduled.
