Great location, easily walkable to all French Quarter top thinks to do. Clean on street front and we felt safe here. Hotel has a lovely court yard which provides distance from the noise of the city. We stayed in a king without balcony and were very pleased with both comfort and cleanliness. There is no food or beverage on site but plenty of places just outside the front door where you can grab and take back to the courtyard if desired. I would definitely stay here again, price point, location and quality service for what you pay for.

My son and I have been coming to The French Market IN (FMI) for several years. It is our favorite hotel in The French Quarter. We stayed November 3-9th, in an inside windowless 2 queen bed bedroom. Check in was seamless. It was great to see Manager Elysia Smith and her staff again. All the staff were professional, helpful, kind, attentive, caring and made my son and I feel at home. The room was good size for 2 people. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was large compared to other French Quarter hotel bathrooms. It had a large walk in shower with GREAT water pressure. Housekeeping was a nice touch. There is a small pool in the courtyard which we have used in the past, but it was too cold to use this visit. There is a restroom in the concession building adjacent to the pool with a coke and ice machine. I had a possible major issue for me, not with the hotel itself, which was taken care of by Ms. Smith and her Bell Captain. I apologize for forgetting his name, but he was very professional and helped out A LOT. I have found the noise level in the rooms to be negligible. A balcony room facing Decatur may have a little noise. I have nothing negative to say about the hotel or the staff. EVERYTHING was fantastic, AS ALWAYS. If you want to stay in history with a fantastic staff, stay here. If you want ot stay in a cookie cutter hotel, stay elsewhere. You are literally 2-3 minutes to Jackson Square and 5 minutes to Bourbon Street. FYI, book through the hotel's official website and not a 3rd party. You will love staying here and will thank me for the recommendation.

The location of this Inn is absolutely wonderful. It is located on the quieter side of the French Qtr., which provides for a lower key weekend night life. It is also close walking distance to Jackson Square, Café Du Monde, French Market, and the River Walk. The people at the front desk were wonderfully helpful/friendly. Would I stay here again if I visited the FQ, you bet. The rooms were set up nicely and clean, with a mini fridge and self serve mini coffee bar, plus the cleaning staff were top notch.
