Paradise Cove Watersports (formerly Buena Vista Watersports) is located at 13245 Lake Bryan Dr, Orlando, FL 32821. You can find them on SR 535, just a quarter mile South of Exit 68 on I-4. Look for the sign between the Holiday Inn and Salt Grass Steakhouse.

Do I need prior experience to participate?

No experience is required. A safety orientation is included with every rental, and staff are available to assist on-site.

How old do you have to be to rent a jet ski?

You must be at least 18 years old to rent a jet ski. However, riders aged 16 or 17 may operate a jet ski with a parent or legal guardian present to complete the rental paperwork. A valid photo ID is required, and state law prohibits minor drivers from carrying passengers.

What do I need to rent a jet ski?

To rent a jet ski, you must be at least 18 years old with a valid government-issued photo ID. If you were born on or after January 1, 1988, Florida law requires you to have a boater's license, which can be obtained onsite by passing a 25-question test for a $3 fee or completed online in advance. A $250 security pre-authorization is also required at check-in and will be released after the jet ski is returned without damage.

Do I have to have a license to rent a jet ski?

A boater’s license is required for anyone born on January 1, 1988, or after. They offer the Florida Temporary Boating Certificate on-site to satisfy this requirement. The questionnaire is $3 and takes approximately 15-20 minutes.

What do I need to bring with me?

Bring a government-issued ID, credit card, or cash for the $250 refundable pre-authorization and purchases, a camera, towel, and sunscreen. Sunscreen, towels, waterproof phone cases, sunglasses, soft drinks, and ice cream are also available for purchase on-site.

I'm the only one jet skiing. Is there anything for my group to do?

If members of your group are not participating in the water sports activities, they will still have full access to the observation deck at the end of the dock and full use of the private beach to relax and catch some Florida rays.

Is there a weight limit on the jet ski?

Yes, the jet skis have a maximum total weight capacity of 550 lbs.

Are two people allowed to ride on one jet ski?

Yes, two people (up to three people) can ride on one jet ski as long as they stay within the weight limit.
