At Humphreys, guests can choose to eat before or after each live performance in the Humphreys Concerts by the Bay. The Humphreys’ amphitheater is located between Humphreys Restaurant and Humphreys Half Moon Inn.
Described as “a manmade wonderland of sub-tropical splendor,” both the Humphrey Half Moon Inn and Restaurant on Shelter Island are considered architectural feats. All buildings on the island are limited to a two-story height and are required to follow an island “Tiki” theme. The Harbor Department requires the Polynesian décor.

Humphrey’s main dining room is a large multilevel room with 360-degree bay-side views so stunning you may think you stepped into a Fantasy Island Hawaiian vacation.

Humphreys has your breakfast covered with classics like the Social Breakfast Burrito, the Crab and Tarter Hash Skillet (poached eggs, crab, mushrooms, peppers and hollandaise sauce), or the Chorizo and Egg Chilaquiles served with avocado cilantro and queso fresco.
If you're in the mood for something sweet try the French Toast, Yogurt Parfait, or Buttermilk Pancakes. For lively breakfast celebrations, add Humphrey’s Mimosa Special or Bloody Mary!

Humphreys Concerts by the Bay
Nightlife, entertainment, and dancing, oh my! Humphrey’s has one of the best concert venues in San Diego. Since 1982, the 1,400-seat outdoor theater has presented major musical venues overlooking the beautiful San Diego Bay.
Performances run from April through October, and attractions range from comedic numbers to blues, folk, rock, and jazz music.
Pro Tip: Humphreys does not allow food or beverages into the venue. Umbrellas, cameras and recording devices are also strictly prohibited.
All concerts have reserved seats except for the General Admission, standing only ticketed shows. Dinner packages and hotel packages are available for each show with reserved seats.

Humphrey’s Restaurant is open Monday through Sunday.
- Breakfast: 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
- Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Dinner: 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Directions and Parking
Take Interstate 5 (South) to Rosencrans exit. Head west on Rosencrans to Shelter Island Drive (about five miles). Turn left on Shelter Island Drive. Humphreys is on the right. Parking is available in the Humphreys’ lot for $20. Free public parking lots are located nearby on Shelter Island.
Fun Fact: Actor John Stamos is a fan of Humphreys. The celeb best known as Uncle Jesse in Full House frequents the Restaurant and hotel and has filmed numerous movie scenes on the property.
