Spectrum Resorts is my family’s new favorite resort. The accommodations are perfect for a family especially if you want your own space. There is access to two on property water parks and access to H2O water park included in the stay. The staff is amazing and Brian truly made sure our stay was great!

"Dystopian Vibes, Disconnected Staff, and Disappointment"

Leading up to our stay, communication was rigid and customer service lacked any flexibility or empathy — which already left me uneasy. That said, we tried to go in with an open mind, and while the stay had its positives, the overall experience just didn’t sit right. The resort honestly had a dystopian feel.. eerily quiet, nearly empty, and at times it felt like we were being watched. The pool and parking lot was nearly vacant, and while everything looked beautiful on the surface, the atmosphere was strange. The few staff members we did see felt more like background characters than actual support, and it set the tone for a stay that looked like luxury but felt anything but. Golf carts were shown everywhere in their marketing, however were never available to assist. Every time we asked for help getting around, we were told to use the shuttle… which ended up being a bus with 50+ minute wait times. We walked everywhere — to the water park, to our unit — and ended up having to Uber for dinner because on-site service was nonexistent. Asking for assistance was met with blank stares and comments like, “Well, is that what the app says?” The townhome was beautiful and very clean (with the exception of a dead roach we found upstairs in the loft.) Then there was a pet fee situation. On check-in day, I brought my husband, son, and our small dog since we couldn’t cancel the first night. Brian at the front desk was kind and confirmed the system allowed us to be charged a one-night pet fee of $40 — which made sense, as they only stayed for that night. My family left the next morning, and the dog was no longer there. But upon check-out, I noticed I’d been charged two additional nights of the pet fee ($75 each), even though the pet wasn’t there. When I spoke to Ken at the front desk, he was completely dismissive and said, “Oh well, that’s a system limitation — there’s nothing we can do.” No effort to correct or even acknowledge the unfairness. To top it all off, on check-out day, our unit locked us out at 9:30 AM — even though check-out isn’t until 11. We were still packing up the car and had belongings inside, and no warning was given. Thankfully, due to a strange and somewhat concerning building layout — an elevator hallway with an oddly placed empty room that connects to another townhome — we were able to get back in through a door that never fully closed. But the fact that there was no emergency exit and we were relying on a broken lock to re-enter is alarming. There was also a late-night incident where two strangers tried to enter both doors at separate times to our unit around 11pm, using codes and ringing the doorbell repeatedly. As a group of women staying alone, this felt incredibly unsafe — especially with the building’s compromised access points. While the unit itself was beautiful, the resort felt mismanaged and impersonal. Between the unhelpful staff, transportation issues, early lockout, hidden fees, and safety concerns, I spent most of the trip feeling anxious. I won’t be staying here again, and I’d strongly recommend others think twice before booking.

Parking is horrible. No parking close to the unit. Walk in 1/4 mile or more if you obey the rules. Or choose like others to park in the grass or in the fire lane and risk towing. The AC sucks. Been out for most of the day, get back and it 77 degrees in the unit. Cant set the AC below 70, but it wont even keep the unit to that. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
