"Disappointing Breakfast"

We stayed two nights in a double queen bed size room. Nice staff, great location, average room for a pet friendly hotel. The biggest complaint we had was the bad breakfast. I've been an honors member for over 20 years and stayed at Garden Inn's across the nation. This was the worst breakfast I can recall ever having in one. The buffet consisted of dried potatoes, way over cooked salty sausage links, flat biscuits, and watered down gravy served in a spoon with holes in it, along with dried out scrambled eggs. They had no half-n-half cream for the coffee, or whole milk. The oatmeal the second day was obviously left over from the first day we were there. The servers were more interested in leaving a "gratuity" book than anything else. Our breakfast was pre-paid, but they still insisted on leaving us a receipt for gratuity. First time I ever experienced that in a Hilton. Aside from the bad breakfast experiences, I ordered from the cafe our last night. The tough and dried out buffalo wings and overcooked stuffed mushrooms were memorable. The hotel obviously needs some finer culinary and service help.

We love this hotel. Its proximity is perfect for walking around Gatlinburg. We used it as a base to do daily treks to Smoky Mountain National Park. You must have a car for that-Ubers/Lyfts are not an option during spring, summer and fall. Our room was very clean and 3 employees really rose to the top and provided stellar Hilton Hospitality. They are Norma and Samantha (they work the restaurant) and Brina (she works the front desk). Everyone was so sweet. We can’t wait for our next trip to stay there!

Mattress lumpy and lacking support. Chair seat had collapsed! Breakfast buffet was OK. Parking was well priced at $15 per day. Had very much a Motel feel!

Been staying here as long as the hotel has been here due to nice facilities and convenience, and until today free parking on date of arrival through date of departure. Travelers beware, you’ll be paying $15 more each day than you planned. Applies to Hilton Honors Gold members too in a case you’re wondering.

"Bad Breakfast Experience"

We have been going to this Hotel since it opened in 2009 - We go four times a year and stay a week so we have the experience and knowledge to make a comment - We just got back and my focus today is on the restaurant - There is a gentlemen who greets you when you walk up for breakfast (middle age heavy set) - He asks for your name and room number and on this trip, three times, told us to get a cup of coffee and wait until our names are called for seating - All three times the seating area was near empty with only five couples seated and eating yet the room has seating for 18 tables - All three times "after" he walked away the waitress came over and seated us! We travel all over the country and always stay with Hilton as my Honors record would show - This man has a problem! Is he trying to add some non existent flair to the room? If there is a waitress problem, that is not my problem and in no way should we be treated in this manner - We stayed six nights and ate breakfast at other restaurants four mornings because of the way we were treated - We love the hotel and other staff but this man is running people off by his rude treatment - We paid $2300 to be treated like this?
