Some of the staff is why two stars instead of one. The people are what kept us from changing hotels mid visit. Anika at the front desk is a pure joy and Charles, valet, is worth his weight in gold for all he does. It is conveniently located for conventions. That ends the positives. The hotel is historic and has a rich history, but it is tired looking. There is a difference between antique furniture and things Goodwill wouldn't want. They were toeing that line. Mattress was extremely soft and needed a two step ladder to get into. I am not joking: a ladder was provided to get into bed with the bed chest high. It was not comfortable in any way. Everything really needed a deep cleaning. Walls had make up marks and things all over the hotel needed shined. Our hallway had the same straw paper on the floor for almost a week with water bottles on the floor outside a room for 5 days, it became a joke in our group to see how many days before they would get picked up. For some of the rooms you passed through a courtyard and then had to enter a door on the other side with your key, but many times the courtyard doors wouldn't take your keys. On going problem that wasn't resolved during our stay. The courtyard is pretty, but smells like garbage from the restaurant and is their smoke break spot. The pool is crowded if three people were in it and was ice cold, but is lovely to look at. You can hear everything. Your neighbors. The pool outside. Anyone in the hallway. Not a quiet place to sleep when they want to blow off the pool area at 7.30AM every day. The bar is useless for the exception of one bartender. I was served a yellow hurricane cocktail, and the Bartender wanted to argue that is the recipe and she followed it exactly. My biggest complaint is where is management when you have unruly guests? Are you so worried they will leave you a bad rating that you will not stand up for your employees? We watched a family let their 3 and 5 year old boys strike an employee several times with heavy plastic toys with the parents doing nothing, but where were the managers to step in to protect her? Even after they were told what a great job she did with these children, mangers did nothing about the kids running loose every day without shoes or shirts or even that the parents were leaving them alone in the room or throwing things at people at breakfast. Your employees deserve your respect. I appreciated their dedication and kindness during our stay. They get five stars.

Overall positive experience starting right from the early check-in at 2 pm. Room was clean, quiet, nicely decorated, well maintained. Great location, good value. Enjoyed the bar for a nightcap and decompress from the day. Would stay again.

I booked a King Suite with breakfast included for a 6-night stay and am currently on the fifth day of my stay. Unfortunately, my overall experience has been disappointing. The room is poorly maintained, with inadequate ventilation, and no complimentary drinking water has been provided throughout my stay. What’s most unacceptable is the issue with breakfast. I specifically paid for a rate that includes breakfast. However, on June 18th, when I arrived at the dining area at 7:45 AM, I was told that the waiter was not available and therefore breakfast could not be served. Instead, I was only offered a free coffee. This is unacceptable. I paid for a room with breakfast, and yet I did not receive the service I was promised. I would appreciate it if this matter could be addressed and an appropriate resolution provided.

I loved our stay here . The room was very spacious , the hotel is charming and in a great location. I've been to NOLA many times before but I liked staying here because this hotel truly has the Big Easy feel . The pool is small but nice to take a dip . The bartender was very friendly and made us beignets after the kitchen had closed. We even received a welcome chocolate when we checked in . We will definitely stay again .

The room and accommodations are lovely. The pool is more of a plunge pool and seated chairs, so not much for “Lounging”. Christine was our lovely server and made the best lattes! She was always so sweet and cheery & made us feel at home. Looking forward to our next visit to NOLA!
