"HORRIBLE! Not worth the money."

HORRIBLE! Do not stay here!!!! - Disappointing Stay at Helios Universal Orlando Resort Our stay at Helios was a nightmare from start to finish. The room was dirty and smelled like mildew, and housekeeping seemed to forget we existed after the first day. The pool was overcrowded and the water was cloudy. The real kicker was when our room's AC unit broke down on the second night, and it took the staff hours to fix it. The walkway into the park was also a major letdown - it was long, hot, and poorly shaded, making it a miserable trek after a long day at the resort. Even after complaining I believe nothing was done, probably swept under the rug since they are a new hotel. Needless to say, we won't be back.

"Enjoyed our stay at Helios"

Our family of 5 had a great experience at Helios. Proximity to Epic is fantastic, our early entry process was easy, the rooms were clean, and the team at Helios was incredibly helpful and friendly. We also spent a day at the pool, and the pool food, drinks and service were great. Yes, the rooms are fairly plain and the lobby can get crowded, but none of that outweighs the benefits of this hotel. Would visit again if we come back to Epic.

"Beautiful hotel, the best way to do epic"

If you want the convenience and beautiful rooms, there’s no better way than to do epic by staying at the Helios Grand. Yes you have to show up in line early but you get access to things like the Ministry ride way before everyone else. We waited 45 mins instead of the usual 4-5 hours. Is it a Las Vegas hotel, no way but imo it’s conveniences to the epic experience make this a 5 star hotel through and through.

"Stunning from the exterior, but so disappointed inside"
TripAdvisor user rating 3.0 out of 5

This hotel looks absolutely stunning from the exterior, simply amazing. However, the lobby is smaller than I expected, check in was slow. The elevators are very, very plain looking, not what you'd expect from this flag ship hotel. Views from the lobby, and outside terrace are amazing, it's like you are actually in Epic Universe. We were on the 3rd floor and had to walk a long, long way from elevator to our room. THIS WAS A MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT !!! PLEASE BEWARE : we booked a how to train your dragon suite, paid quite a lot too....when we got into the room it looked great, but then when we checked out the view..... CAR PARK !!!! This was so disappointing since I had assumed that having paid 600 dollars for a suite that I would be guaranteed a park view.... absolutely crap !!! Not all the dragon suites have park view so please beware of this when booking, especially when you can pay 300 dollars for a standard room with a park view. Best thing about the hotel is having it's own entrance to Epic, we kept nipping back inside the hotel for breaks throughout the day spent in Epic.
