Lovely old hotel. Yes, the elevator is slow, and the "queen" bed is really a full bed (but a lot of hotels mislabel their beds). But each room has its own A/C unit, and radiator heat. Super nice robes. Good location and value.

Stayed in a small suite for 2 days. Nice size rooms, very clean. Comfortable bed. Good price for size of room. Great location, easy to access Lakeshore Drive trail, not too far from Wrigley field. Residential area around the hotel (apartments, etc.) and many selections for food & drinks, etc. I had an alley view, but that's to be expected in older urban buildings; so don't expect skyline or street views. Overall great hotel, recommended. Will be back.

This hotel is unfortunately not what it advertised. The guest rooms smell horrible and are extremely dated/unkept. I checked out early and would never stay here again.

I stayed solo for 7 nights. I will not stay here again and I do not recommend. Front desk staff typically were sitting in an alcove and did not proactively greet the guests. Ice machine was broke and water was not filled frequently. Room was tiny, no desk or mirror as described. Smelled very musty and dank. No housekeeping at all. I had to find someone in the hall for a refill of toilet paper and Kleenex. I took my own trash out daily. Two positives: The bed and bedding were very comfortable. And the location is great, safe and multiple restaurants within walking distance. Overall, not worth the price.
