"Just OK"

Our room could have been cleaner. There was a clump of hair in the bathtub and stains on the comforter. The people above sounded like they were going to come through the ceiling. Our light fixtures rattled and the walls shook every time the above room took a step. Called the front desk...they were not helpful.
Nice view, lots of room, better than a cramped hotel room
Loud, noisy, not clean, called us early to try and push a timeshare presentation.

"Taking your family? This is the place!"

This place has everything you'd hope for. We recently took our whole family -- our 4 sons and their children -- 8 grandkids. We booked 4 separate rooms/suites for a week-long stay and I'm not disappointed in any manner. Leslie was great help getting us lined out (thanks, Leslie). This place is not a freebie, but you really get what you pay for in this place: boats with and without motors; 2 docks if you bring your own; 3 separate swimming pools with 3 separate focuses. Not only were the grandchildren delighted (and grew in confidence as time went on), but so were sons and all daughters-in-law. AND: at the large pool with the most activities and choices for swimming and sliding, there were lifeguards who really lifeguarded--that made all of us happy. Rooms were quite nice--spacious and well kept. There were a few oddities, such as we had 3 plates in our kitchen; one son had 7 but no ice-maker in freezer, but the concierge, Leslie, suggested we simply share what we had or they'd bring us more. Also, the hot water heater IN our closet is shared with the neighboring suite and when it's heating water, it is hard to hear yourself think. I learned to cope with it. Another on-site plus: 3 food choices to get prepared sandwiches and pizza (none were sit-down restaurants unless you label tables on the lawn as a sit-down location).. Off premises: If you choose off-site activities, Branson has tons of things to see/do. and when at the resort, Silver Dollar City is practically in your lap. On day, we drove to a blueberry farm 40 mins away...and I grumbled while traveling there, but once there, even this curmudgeon was thrilled. All in all, a 5-star week. OH: of the 4 suites, we had the only suite of our 4 suites with a washer and dryer, but there is an on-site self-help coin-operated laundry. I don't recall hearing the a/c when it was on; and didn't have any family complaining about noise.

My family wanted to go to SDC. I wanted to relax. This was the perfect place for both. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony and looking out at the lake. The crowd at the pool was friendly. There were plenty of activities on and off the lake for the whole family. And the shuttle to nearby SDC made it so easy to come and go. We bought groceries at Walmart in Branson West and used the kitchen and grills. When it rained one day, we appreciated the comfortable condo and the view. My only criticism would be that the employees on the dock could be more visible and attentive. They were inside the building the whole time. So make sure you are able to launch and return/ tie up the pedal boats, etc. without their help. And don’t expect anyone to check on you if you tip your canoe.

Overall We had a great time in Branson. Our main goal in looking for a place to stay was the amenities for the off hours when we weren’t exploring the town. My first impression of the location of the resort was good. The service at check in was good and the location of our building was awesome. Unfortunately our room in the building was less than desirable. My children described it as a basement. It was in the basement and was in need of some air freshener but we made the most of it. Our building was located by the marina. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the free kayaks, paddle boards, pedal cars and pedal bikes. Even caught a few fish with the bamboo poles. There were many children having fun, enjoying the beautiful lake. One complaint is the closing time is posted as 8:00 but they make everyone get off the amenities at 7:30. This ruffled the feathers of many other guests too. Seems a bit misleading to advertise the hours available to access is until 8. Also please please please have adult supervision (18+) with the teen workers. No one offering help, they were mainly so busy chit chatting. The food at the resort was awesome!! No complaints. The Melt, Shady Taco and the pizza place were all great. Pools...the pictures are so enticing!! Great job on the lure. The oasis pool was the only one we visited but they were all definitely a lot smaller than they looked via pictures. That’s okay though, we loved the oasis pool. Wasn’t crowded the times we went. On our last night we had a fun evening watching a movie while swimming in the pool. Overall it was fun. One Complaint: lifeguards were useless. Again, too much chitchatting amongst the two. Maybe I’m spoiled but our lifeguards locally are not allowed to converse to each other. All eyes on water at all times. So we had fun, we’d go again but would definitely look for a better room locale not in a basement.

"A nice place to stay "

My family of five stayed at Still Waters Resort for the 4th of July week. We enjoyed a deluxe two bedroom with a fantastic view of the lake. The condo was very large and clean. The kitchen was nice although it contained few and basic kitchen pots/dishes and utensils. The bathrooms were clean and the master bedroom/bath was huge with a spa tub and separate shower. The balcony was a nice size and had a table with 4 chairs. We were very happy with the accommodations! As for the resort itself, it has three pools but they are extremely small and always overcrowded so unless you got there early you did not have a chair. The larger pool (Oasis pool) has a water slide but it doesn’t land in the pool—it just ends! One other pool has a “zoom flume” but it was also overcrowded and very small. The third pool was for adults only but there were always kids in it. This may be problematic if you are staying at the resort full time. We used it as a “home base” to explore other parts of the area so it was only a problem when we stayed in (but it was 4th of July). You can enjoy free use of kayaks, paddle boards etc but you have to use them in the small marina area; there is no other “swimming area.” The game room has two pool tables and some older games but it was expensive to spend any amount of time in it. The resort has two food trucks on site: one is a taco truck and the other is a “melt” truck (crepes, etc). The taco truck was awesome but we never had a chance to try the melt truck, although the food looked good. The food trucks were great when we didn’t feel like cooking. However, there were lots of new barbecue grills all around and we used them to grill steaks one night, which was a nice treat. Another very nice treat was the shuttle to Silver Dollar City, which brought us there and picked us up. The driver, Al, gave us his phone number and was there to pick us up within ten minutes. The shuttle only holds about ten people so we had to wait while he brought some other passengers in the morning but it didn’t take long. Silver Dollar City, by the way, was a lot of fun! Overall I would recommend Still Waters Resort as it was really nice to stay on the lake and away from the touristy part of Branson. We would stay there again.

"Nothing Like the Pictures"

This is my first time to write a review on Trip Advisor... The marketing department is GENIUS at Still Water Resort...the pictures on the website make this "resort" look incredible. But actually, many of the rooms look NOTHING like what is pictured and that pool on the main page of their website...well it looks huge but in real life is actually much, much smaller. This experience will make me research future trips in more detail. Positives: Everyone is very nice! Check in experience was great. The grounds are very safe...I felt completely fine having the kids walk around on their own. The lake and marina are VERY nice. We rented a boat two separate days and the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. We were also thrilled that there were multiple food options on the property...and both were very good (Pizza was yum). Negatives: Our room was well...disgusting. Again, didn't look like any of the pictures online. It was extremely outdated. During our trip, we learned that buildings A and B are kinda a joke. Even an employee commented that those are the two buildings you don't want to be in. We did sit through the timeshare presentation, and it was VERY upsetting to see what most of the other rooms on the complex look like in comparison to what we were staying in. If we had the opportunity to move rooms, the rating would look much different.
