Star Island Resort and Club is located approximately four (4) miles from Walt Disney World Resort and is close to all popular Orlando theme parks, shopping malls, and a variety of dining and entertainment options. This Mediterranean-style resort and spa features mini suites to three-bedroom deluxe villas that are designed for your ultimate comfort. The unique suites and villas can accommodate from 4 to 8 people and include a full kitchen or kitchenette.

Star Island Resort and Club provides a wide range of recreational activities, including nine tennis courts, a golf driving range, a putting green, a sandy beach on Lake Cecile, water sports, volleyball and basketball courts, a picnic area, and swimming in our 2 zero-entry outdoor pools. Guests can work out in our extensive fitness center with cardiovascular equipment, free weights, steam rooms, saunas, and spa tubs. Organized children’s activities include arts and crafts, hula-hoop contests, and ice cream socials (fees may apply).

Take time to relax in the full-service Celebrity Spa (surcharge), providing manicures, pedicures, massage therapy, body treatments, and full salon services. For your enjoyment, cocktails and light fare are served at a poolside bar. Complimentary wireless internet access is available in all suites/villas. On-site complimentary parking is available as well.

  • Check-in requirements: Guests must provide a $200 security/incidental credit card hold deposit. This is a credit card hold. This deposit is for charging incidental items to your room account. (If you choose to use a bank debit/credit card that is attached to a checking account, please be aware that a hold will be placed on the account for the anticipated dollar amount of the stay, including incidentals, through your date of departure. Said funds will not be released for 72 business hours from the date of departure or longer at the discretion of your bank. This deposit may be applied towards your final payment.

I would NEVER stay at Star Island Resort again. I had one of the most frustrating and disappointing vacations I’ve ever experienced, and the way management handled everything afterward made it even worse. When we checked in, we told the front desk we had three people with mobility issues. They still put us on the third floor with no elevator. We were told “nothing is available,” but the next morning we were suddenly moved to a first-floor room that “became available.” So clearly it existed the whole time. The “three-bedroom” we booked was not even a real three-bedroom. It was a two-bedroom with a fold-out couch in another room. That should be advertised accurately. The second room they moved us into had a broken stove, a non-working ice machine, an AC unit stuck on freezing cold with no temperature control, and even worms inside the unit multiple times. The toilet in the master bathroom ran nonstop. None of this was addressed even though we called and went to the desk repeatedly. On top of that, a neighboring guest walked onto our patio and took our chairs. Security told me that if we hadn’t locked the back door, that person could have walked straight into our condo. Their answer was basically, “Well, why didn’t you lock it?” The back door faces the pool, so locking it means walking around the entire building just to get inside again. It made no sense. The landscaping crew made the stay even worse. For three days in a row, they stood right outside our patio blowing debris directly at us. We couldn’t sit outside, eat outside, or relax. One landscaper even flipped us off when we asked them politely to move for a bit. Completely unprofessional. After the trip, I tried to resolve everything with management, and the responses were honestly shocking. They denied what happened, claimed nothing was reported (it absolutely was), and insisted that I take everything up with the third-party booking company instead of taking responsibility for actual issues on their property. I sent photos, videos, and detailed explanations, and they still brushed everything off. The customer service was dismissive, unhelpful, and unprofessional from start to finish. I’ve stayed all over Florida and have never had a resort handle things this badly. I don’t say this lightly, but I strongly recommend staying somewhere else. There are plenty of resorts in the area that treat guests with basic respect, take problems seriously, and keep their property maintained.

Experience was not the greatest, water bug, several bugs, rooms old, spider webs, decor was outdated, room was not cleaned at all, hair on bed, corners all moldy and nasty. Never coming here again! Wyndham needs to put more money into this place it’s disgusting!

The whole week we stayed they had the pressure washers out , cutting trees, blowing leaves , and debris all over our vehicles . It ALL STARTED AT 8:00am UNTIL 4:00pm every dam day. WTF No one wants to hear this when on vacation!!!! I spoke with the worthless manager about the situation but that was like talking to seashell . I Would not waste your money on this resort. half of the stove did not work, worn out furniture in the living room, roaches showed up every other day ants in the bathroom . Oh yeah, thanks for a great vacation.

Does Star Island Resort & Club charge a resort fee?

There is a daily resort fee of $15 per unit per day plus tax ($17.02). It includes complimentary wireless internet access, parking, use of the fitness center, tennis, basketball, miniature golf, putting green, driving range (free 8:30Am to 9:30AM), men's & women's locker rooms with saunas and private Jacuzzi, and sand volleyball. Resort Fee is taxed at 13.5%. All fees mentioned are subject to change without prior notice, and applicable taxes.

Does Star Island Resort & Club have a restaurant? A lounge? Café? Gift Shop?

There is not a full-fledged restaurant on-site. However, there is a snack shack located on-site, where guests can purchase you can purchase hamburgers, sandwiches, subs, chicken wings, chicken tenders, egg rolls, fries, salads, bagels with cream cheese, muffins, Danish, fresh fruit, ice cream, coffee, tea, etc. The snack shack hours are 8:00 am – 11:00 pm daily. There are 2 pool bars - one downstairs open from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm and one upstairs that is open at 4:00 pm. TGI Fridays is within walking distance and sits in front of the resort.

Do you charge for cribs or rollaways at Star Island Resort?

There is no charge for cribs, however, a rollaway bed is $10.00 per day. Fees are subject to change and applicable taxes.

What are the pool hours at Star Island Resort?

The pools are open from 7:00 am – 11:00 pm. Hours of operation are subject to change and weather conditions.

Is late check-in available at Star Island Resort?

All reservations are guaranteed so the guest may check-in any time after 4:00 pm. If you arrive before 4:00 pm and the room is available, the resort may allow check-in.

Does Star Island Resort & Club have shuttles to the theme parks or shopping malls?

The resort does not offer shuttle services to the theme parks or shopping malls. A concierge desk will be able to help you arrange your transportation. Fees apply.

Yes, packages for guests can be sent to the resort. There is a handling fee of $3.00 for each package received by the resort. If a package is delivered during your stay, include the guest's name and reservation number. Be sure to call the hotel directly to obtain your hotel reservation number. Upon arrival, please call Ext. 6000 to verify your package has arrived and make arrangements for delivery. *Due to space limitations, the resort does not accept packages more than two weeks before arrival.
