"Nice resort"
June 2016
Me and my family recently stayed here for vacation in Orlando. We had a really good time hanging out at the pool with fun activities to participate in. There are also other things to do around the resort including duck paddle boats but truthfully would not Recommend they are not well maintained and the one me and my daughter used malfunctioned and got stuck. Aside from that we enjoyed our stay here.

"Visit to Orlando"

We recently stayed at the Star Island Resort and had a great time! The Resort itself is older and may seem a little dated but the staff and the accommodations made up for it. My family of 7 stayed in an "A" & "B" which gave us plenty of room to move around with a full kitchen, dining room, living room and 2 bathrooms. Our price for all that was GREAT! The grounds are kept immaculate. It was also close to Walt Disney World and numerous restaurants and shopping. Like I said it is a little dated but it would take quite a bit of money to remodel the entire resort. It was clean and we definitely received way more than the amount we paid.

"Dated rooms, nice pool"

Its hit and miss. Nice pools and foyer, everything else feels old. The nicer rooms are dated. Our room and beds were fairly clean, but towels were iffy. On third floor, we had no elevator access, so we climbed stairs with our suitcases (but other sections may have elevator access). Aggressive salespeople will try to push timeshare, kept calling early each morning and chose to be quite rude when we politely declined their offer. We did enjoy our stay, however, but we didn’t stay in the hotel a lot. Good option if you are not too picky and on a budget.

"Dark, stuffy, noisy 1 bedroom A unit (partial kitchen)"

Been a timeshare owner for over 25 years and must have stayed in 50 timeshares, 15 or so in the Orlando area – I have never been so disappointed. Even though I was on the sixth floor of a building the unit is dark and stuffy – the two small windows in the tiny living room/kitchenette had blinds and if you opened it you looked out on the hallway that everybody walked down to get to their room. One day I was sitting by the table and a maintenance guy was dusting the outside of my window! The bedroom only has one small window that opens to a shaft (no view) and you would think that would be dark except the shaft was lit at night and there was a bright nitelite built into the wall that you could not turn off. Who puts a nightlite in the bedroom where it should be dark at night rather than in the hallway or bathroom? You cannot turn off the loud bathroom fan that would wake up anyone sleeping. Maintenance had to come and unhook it. There was no light by the cooking unit either. So here I sit in the dark living room, and bright bedroom, with no way to enjoy the outside without leaving the unit and going down 6 flights. Not even a small balcony. On the good side, plenty of parking, pool area was nice but again noisy, pool water rather cold, and the staff was nice.

We had a very nice vacation. Loved the location. We could walk to restaurants. Our unit was a small one but it a fine for the two of us. Lots to do every day around the resort. Tennis, mini putt. . Loved that they had someone sing by the pool.

"GREAT SPOT!!!"

THIS WAS ONE OF THE NICEST RESORTS i HAVE STAYED AT IN A long TIME. The staff was amazing, the rooms were spacious, The grounds were beautiful. The pool and resort lay out was so nice. I just loved it here and this would be my first choice when I do come back. The front desk staff was especially amazing. The spa & steam room are such an added PLUS. If you want a quieter stay please request to stay on the backside as the lake front rooms are loud until the music is done on the roof top bar.
