We had an amazing time seeing San Francisco with Big Bus Blake and Suzanne. They were funny and engaging. Suzanne went the extra mile when two folks missed a stop for Chinatown and assisted them in finding their way. We were bummed that because of the Pier closing and traffic we missed the Saulsalito transfer on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge, it was not told to us in the morning that 4:30 was the last transfer and we missed it by <10 minutes, But otherwise, we had a great time!

"Alcatraz Tickets not available - worst customer service ever"

DO NOT USE THIS TOUR COMPANY for your tours. We visited San Francisco this past weekend. I had purchased Alcatraz tickets through Expedia (contracted with this company). I purchased the tickets 5 days in advance and had received a confirmation that we were good to go. I called the company the day of the tour to tell them I had not received my actual tickets yet and they told me they were sold out. In fact, the guy on the other end (Skyline Sightseeing) did not apologize and just told me that "Things Happen" and I did not have tickets. He was completely rude and could have cared less that we were there for a short weekend (from Ohio), were totally looking forward to this tour and were excited about it. Worst customer service experience EVER!!! Ridiculous. Do NOT buy tickets from them because they may not have them and could care less if you don't get to go.

"Worst organised big bus tour ever experienced"

We booked this 2 day hop on/hop off tour in the UK prior to travel. The first annoying issue was a charge for using a credit card. What other way of advance payment is possible? The buses are scheduled to run every 15 minutes on the main tour but if you’re not lucky enough to be at one of the first pick up points you could be waiting for any number of buses before you board. All along the route the driver would count the number of spare seats upstairs, allow people downstairs to move up if they wished and then let however many spaces were available be filled by people queuing at the stop. We sat at most stops for far too long. The night tour which was included in the price turned out to be a first come first served and no guarantee you would get on as people started queuing very early! When we went to queue we were informed the normal tour was cancelled (not Big Bus fault) but disappointing nonetheless as the alternative was another trip across the Golden Gate Bridge. The other included trip to Sausalito was very good, worth a visit. Overall they were trying to squeeze too many people on too few buses, the bus starting points need to be staggered to avoid so many queues.

"To the woods to the Muir woods"

Went on the 2pm tour to Muir woods. Our driver Guillermo was a really informative guide with different tales of the areas we past through. At Muir woods saw some trees and nothing else hence the name. Ok for a few hours away but not worth the cost. Would use the company again though the Big Red Bus Tours booked through Skyline sightseeing tours.
