"Very Disappointing Stay"

I don't normally write reviews unless it is a really great experience. This resort was horrible. We made reservations for 3 rooms months in advance. One of the rooms was not available per our request and we had to pay for an upgrade (we did pay only a portion of the upgrade instead of the full amount). Two of the rooms were so dirty we called housekeeping when we first walked in to get clean sheets and towels. We ended up going to Target to buy cleaning supplies. One of the rooms smelled like urine. I realize this is a pet friendly hotel, but if you can't get the smell out of the room you need to figure it out. The weekend was spent trying to avoid the room! Drapes were filthy in all of the rooms. I had always wanted to stay here when it was a Hilton. When we could finally afford the time and expense it was no longer a Hilton, but we stayed here anyway. The restaurants on site did not have family friendly menus. The staff was great, and I wish them the best. But it is a shame you can't take care of a beautiful property like this one. Maybe management needs a wakeup call.

My husband and I went for our Anniversary. We liked the size of the resort, it wasn't too big and offered everything we needed. The spa was amazing!! We loved the walking trail along the bay and the water activities available to rent. We rented a catamaran sail boat and had a blast. We will defiantly stay there again.
