Great show. The worst part is the wait to get in and seated. You have to go early and wait in line. Food and drinks were good!

"Luau on Maui"
May 2018
Overall it was a pleasant luau. The food was better than we expected from the reviews we had read. The presentation could’ve been a little bit longer. I think a lot of time was spent on just waiting around. We went for our two-year-old to experience Hawaiian culture as she loves musical productions and she seemed to enjoy it.

"The Luau was good"

We had a party of 6...2 adults and 4 kids 12 and under. We paid for the VIP seating which was worth it. The show and food was good. My issue was them plugging the vendors outside of the show saying that they handcraft the items and to show support for the local craftsmen. We got 2 necklaces for my boys at $20 each. They loved them. The next day we went to Front street to look at the shops. Guess what we found? The 2 handcrafted necklaces made by the local craftsmen were being sold for $6.99. Kids still love the necklaces we bought, and we didn't show them the ones we found cheaper. If you are going to plug something at the show as being authentic, then it should be. That ruined the overall experience.

"Great Show, Overall Wonderful Experience"

My wife and I purchased VIP tickets for the Drums of the Pacific Lu'au as a way to kick off our stay in Maui and it did not disappoint whatsoever! Prior to the show we were able to have our pictures taken with a lovely sunset backdrop. We got front row seats and were given first priority for the evening's dinner. We received flower leis upon arrival and the entertainment started very soon after we were seated. The show itself was not only fun, but very educational too. There were points in the show where the audience got to interact with the performers, and there were never any dull moments. Highly recommended!

We had a group of 4 attend the show. We loved the food. The service was great! We all enjoyed the show. The only drawback was how close the chairs at the table were...basically elbow to elbow. We purchased the VIP tickets so we could sit in front. As a VIP, you get seated first and get to eat first. We recommend this show. I would have rated a 5 if the seating wasn't so close.

"Very enjoyable evening! "

We have been to several Luaus and this was probably my favorite so far. Much smaller, permanent stage setting. They were very prompt starting the seating at 5:30 and made you feel very welcome. We did VIP seating as some of our family had not experienced a luau before and wanted the best experience for them. In this setting however I would not pay the price for VIP again since all the seats have a great view of the stage. We did get flower leis which was nice. What I did enjoy was there was entertainment from the moment we sat down and I did not feel like we were waiting for anything! Our server Rick was very fun and attentive and made drink suggestions. The meal was very good. A nice variety of fresh food and 6 serving lines which went very fast. Desserts were delicious! The MC started the evening explains the purpose of a luau and had us greet those around us, that helped getting to know our dinner mates. The lady next to me said this was her 5 th time to this luau because it was her favorite ( and goes to one every year) The man next to my husband was a local, so I think that says something too. The dancers were very good and seemed to really enjoy what they do or they are just good actors, but it seemed genuine. A wonderful evening!

COLD BLAND FOOD Really bad service - felt totally ignored - the server obviously stays focussed on the large groups and ignored us. Not worth the $150 each we spent. The pulled pork from the foods trucks was better. Don';t waste your time and money attending this event.
