Great show. The worst part is the wait to get in and seated. You have to go early and wait in line. Food and drinks were good!

"Luau on Maui"
May 2018
Overall it was a pleasant luau. The food was better than we expected from the reviews we had read. The presentation could’ve been a little bit longer. I think a lot of time was spent on just waiting around. We went for our two-year-old to experience Hawaiian culture as she loves musical productions and she seemed to enjoy it.

My family of five wanted to experience a lu'au and we were pointed to Drums of the Pacific. I do not want to bash or sound too negative because the performers were very talented, but this felt more like a show in Las Vegas than a Polynesian cultural experience. We bought tickets on line ahead of time, then had to wait in a line to 'register' at the Hyatt (45 minutes), then were directed to another line to wait to be seated (30 minutes). This all felt like a cattle call versus some cultural experience that I was hoping to share with my family. This was waaaay too commercial than what I was hoping for. It was a show, not a lu'au. The good: food was good and plentiful, each table had a server, the performers were very good. It cost my family $574 (that includes my nine year old who was 'free' with adult admission. It was a good show, but not worth what I had to pay for my family to see it.

Arrived on time but there was quite a wait in line. However, the Lu'au was great. I liked the MC very much and the food was pretty good. The performers were very professional and entertaining.

This Lu'au was one of many reasons my husband and I stayed at our hotel. I love how the show told you a story through all the dancing. The show was very entertaining, I would highly recommended this to family and friends who plan to go to Maui!!!

Other than a bit of confusion for check in, they had all their ducks in order. We arrived around 5:10. Parking was a bit difficult so I’d suggest giving yourself about 10-15 min extra to accommodate that. Once you’ve arrived, you’re directed to your seating type where you get in line to check in and receive souvenir fans. Upon check in you wait in line to be seated. It’s hot waiting so you may want to limit that time standing in line and come closer to the starting time. You can see the stage easily from all seating areas so no rush to get in. A server seats you so it’s not a stampede type situation. Speaking of servers, what an awesome staff! Totally attentive and gets you anything you need. The food was really good too, especially the pork and the noodles. As for the show itself, a good history lesson and beautiful music. Of course they saved the best for last with the flaming performance. Well done all around.

We had a great experience at this luau. The performers were awesome & the band was AMAZING. Food was great, enough options for everyone to enjoy something (I'd recommend the pulled pork!). Definitely would recommend for anyone looking for a luau in West Maui!
