"Best Vacation Ever"
March 2015
We went to the Top of Gatlinburg and stayed at the Park Vista by Double Tree by Hilton everything was excellent from our reservations all the way until we got back home. Kids had a great time swimming in the indoor pool along with riding the glass elevator. Not to mention overlooking Gatlinburg at night that was great!

"Over run with people"

This hotel is not in a good location for accessing Gatlinburg. It is up a very steep hill with no sidewalks. It was very full and the waits at the front desk were long. The worst part was the room cleaning- they never cleaned at all the second day and only partially the first. I requested it be done- nothing. Requested they at least bring towels- nothing. I would not stay again

"Best view of Gatlinburg!"

The hotel is incredible! From checking in, to ordering room service, the entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. I ordered from a restaurant delivery that was suggested and had the worst experience. The owner of the restaurant was the one to arrive with my order 1 hours and 45 minutes later. She was very rude. However, the hotel room service was still open and we ordered from it. I wish we had ordered from it to begin with. I will highly recommend Park Vista!

"Great View, needs refurbished!"

I really liked my weekend at the Park Vista and I would easily stay there again. It has a very unsafe road to get to the hotel and we were wondering how their big beer and food supply trucks make it to the hotel? The road needs to be shored up and resurfaced soon! This is the place you want to stay....great view, no noise, no crazy people! The desk staff was warm and friendly and we loved their warning....take all of the food out of your car and lock it because if you don’t, the bears will break in!! And of course, we loved the warm chocolate chip cookies! This hotel was built many years ago and I am sure it is a “cash cow” for Doubletree but eventually you do need to put money back into a hotel like this to keep it full and popular. Our room was severely outdated and scrupulously clean...I mean really clean! The housekeeping staff was friendly and accommodating. It is quiet, unique and where you want to be!! It must be pet friendly because we saw lots of dogs in the lobby. We went to the bar when it opened after two and there wasn’t anyone around. Eventually, around 2:30, I went to the front desk and a woman appeared. I gave her our order for a club sandwich and chips.....30 minutes later it appeared. It was good but..........30 minutes? I think the bar was understaffed and the bartender wasn’t as friendly as everyone else in this hotel and perhaps that is why!! I would stay there again in a heartbeat, it is serviced by the downtown trolley and it makes it easy to get downtown. The only downside to this place is the TV in the lobby was set on Fox News.....put it on ESPN, the Cooking Channel or anything else but not Fox News!
