Hilton Midtown has an unbeatable location, but the facilities and service were extremely disappointing. First, the entrance was constantly packed with taxis and random vehicles, so I had to get out in the middle of the street with my luggage. Not a great start at all. The elevators are a serious problem. Every single time, I had to wait at least 10 minutes. When I was waiting on my floor, it was even worse. After a very long wait, the elevator would often arrive already completely full. The room was also missing several basic amenities, such as a vanity kit. I understand that sometimes things are not stocked, so I called to request one and waited more than 20 minutes. After I showered, I realized there was no bottled water either, so I had to call again. I already felt bad having to keep bothering the staff, but the response I got was: “Why didn’t you tell me earlier?” That made me really angry. As a Diamond member, I expect better service, but honestly this is basic hospitality for any guest. An apology would have been fine. Telling me to come downstairs to pick it up would have been fine. Explaining that they were short-staffed and delivery would be delayed would also have been fine. What was not acceptable was that attitude. At checkout, I wanted to store my luggage for a while and was told it would be $5 per bag. Afterward I checked the terms and it seems this service has been outsourced to another company. It just felt very cheap and unpleasant. I even saw a Hilton staff member smoking marijuana near the entrance and the smell was awful. Overall, this hotel is crowded, noisy, and poorly managed, with bad service or effectively no service at all. The location is excellent, but at this price point, you deserve a much better hotel.

Areanna was so nice and accommodating from when we checked in and also after checking I .. There was a problem with our room air conditioner so I went downstairs to report it. I was going to another front desk customer service. Areanna saw me and insisted ơn helping me even though she was busy helping another customer . After she was finished with the customer I came over and informed her of the air conditioner issue. She apologized and told us she was sorry and she upgraded us to a suite! What a wonderful gesture. Areanna truly made me feel like a valuable Diamond member. Thank you Areanna you are truly a breath of fresh air for NYC!

Amazing location and the most comfortable beds. I was travelling Solo for my birthday and the hotel put a cake and strawberrys in my room for when i arrived, and i was given a free breakfast. So sweet. Location is perfect, few blocks up to Central Park, few down to Times Square. My only complaint, do not go in March it was Young Policition/UN trip and over 3,000 teenangers running around the hotel with zero supervison, hitting all the buttons on the already delayed and reduced service elevators. Shouting up the corridors, blocking exits .. and rude .. oh my goodness (some of them) so so rude.... it was not pleasant! apparently its this time every year ... apart from that , i have stayed here 4 times now and i love it. Remember to spend your $35 a day in the Cafe or bar, dont waste it , you have to pay the service fee anyway , so buy sweets and chocolates as gifts , make sure you spend it daily. If you are planning to use the subway .. and you should, its quick and easy. buy a OMNY card, i put on $35 and if you use if for 12 times the rest of the week is free travel. its a perfect gift to leave for the lovely ladies who clean the rooms, they do an amazing job. i always leave a tip too .. but my card had 3 days free travel on and a few bucks balance. So useful ! The rooms are fantastic, i always book a Skyline room on the higher floors ... so quiet , spacious . i slept soo well all week. I would stay here again...
