A fascinating insight into this part of USA history. Some parts were rather gruesome but you were given warning and could bypass if you chose. It covered not only the prohibition era but how the gangs started and carried on afterwards too...well worth the visit.

They have a lot of cool artifacts and videos to watch. You start on the 3rd floor and work your way down. Just doing the basic admission with no add on its $34.95 per person. Bring your Law Enforcement ID or Military ID for a $2 discount. This is not a police museum. There are very few items related to policing. It doesn't take long to make it through all 3 floors. There is a cafe with snacks if you need them. Park in the lot directly to the west of the museum. You can only get to it westbound on the road in front of the museum. It's a dirt lot that costs $8 that you pay an attendant. It can hold maybe 40 cars max. Secret tip, stay parked there if you want to go to Fremont Street. you can walk straight south from the lot 1.5 blocks to Fremont.

This museum doesn't get as much attention as it deserves, given how extraordinarily well-organized and thoughtful it is. I didn't know how much there was to learn about the mob, but this museum is stuffed with fascinating information and is well-worth a visit, especially if you're tired of the flashing lights and glamor of the casinos. Take some time to wander through the three floors and learn all the gory details (and the museum doesn't hold back!). The staff were super friendly and answered all my questions.
