"TERRIBLE place to stay"

Awful place. Started from trying to find where to checkin and didn’t get any better. Not one staff member even tried to make my stay comfortable. Room did not reflect website images, raised this and no response. They don’t care. This place is out to gouge every last dollar. The only excitement I saw with checkin staff was when I asked about upgrades. The sell was overwhelming and I declined. Instantly staff went back to that disinterested attitude. The one and only thing it has going for it is the location in the middle of Fremont Street. To the Golden Nugget: Don’t bother relay this to your team, as you say you have with every other negative review. Your team obviously don’t care!

"Worst hotel not worth the money"
TripAdvisor user rating 1.0 out of 5

Worst hotel I’ve been to. I have been to many hotels all over the world. The worst one was here in Las Vegas. I dont know if it’s a vegas thing or what but this one was the worst one so far. The service was poor. The staff was unfriendly and hostile. We booked and paid for 3 people expecting a room for 2 people instead we got a room with one king sized bed. We expected an extra bed or something but when i called guest services for an extra bed they said they dont have extra beds. Never ever have i been to a hotel without an extra bed. I had to sleep on the ground even though i paid for 3 people .The room didnt have a kettle nor a coffee machine unless you upgrade your room for things that youd receive in a hotel. At this point Im thankful that they have free wifi. The whole atmosphere of the room was off. It was probably the dim yellow lights. Not to mention the fact that we got charged extra $50 per night because of “resort fees” which made 0 sense. If youre looking to not get your moneys worth and get scammed i recommend this one. It is definitely not worth the money and definitely should not be a 4 star hotel because it felt like a 3 star motel. The location was good i mean i get that im mostly paying for the location of the hotel but the room was terrible considering how much money you pay.

"Lots of problems and definitely NOT deluxe (though it was called that)"

The first room we got had no windows and the sink was broken. Moved to another suite and stayed because we were too tired to switch again. This one had a rusting bath tub with peeling enamel. It was also set so one of the shower doors was permanently closed making you get wet while turning on the water AND making it so you couldn't reach the holder made to have the towel available while in the shower. In the room was also a couch that didn't fit so it took up more of the room and looked bad. The internet signal was very low and the TV barely worked because it had problems loading stations. Trying to get to the checkout menu on the TV took more than 5-minutes so I gave up. I used the text to checkout feature and never got a confirmation or the email receipt that it said I would get

"Miserable Holiday vacation"

Unfortunately, after looking forward to our trip & stay at the Golden Nugget for Christmas- New Year, our stay was less than spectacular. We stay in Vegas on Fremont frequently & have stayed at the Nugget before. We were offered a $40/ day food & beverage credit. We arrived on Christmas and nothing, but Claim Jumper was open. We love their breakfast, but not into their lunch/ dinner & we had our hopes on another venue. We asked if the credit was added to the next day if not used, and we were told no. Since this was a selling point to us, it was very disappointing that we are just losing credits. We tried again to use the credit for room service, only to find they were not open. We were very frustrated and had to go elsewhere to eat. Room service in fact was closed if it was too late (When most are finished enjoying the evening in Vegas), or too early or wrong day. Our room was very hot. The AC unit barely worked and it's unseasonably warm in LV. We set the AC at the very lowest setting and still stayed hot in the room the entire stay. As you can imagine, we drank up the water in a hot room. We texted the service each day to get bottled water replenished. We received a response text, but only actually got the service 2 times out of the 7 day stay. Housekeeping came by and made the bed, gave us clown towels, but did not empty our trash. Our bathtub had a crack in the tub itself. The elevators to the Gold tower used to have card access only for those staying in that tower, but that was not present or not working any longer. The sense of security you had was partiality gone. We get charged a $40-$50 a day resort fee, but not sure for what. Pool was closed for repairs, did not have a car to park, no room service, hot room, cracked shower & lack of security to our tower. We went to leave, checked our bags with the bell hop and came back in an hour so we could go to the airport and no one could find the bell hop. The manager called him and nothing. The only highlight we had was the man who called up Taxis went in and got our luggage so we could go after we waited over a half hour. It's a beautiful hotel with great restaurants, but the experience this time had us miserable for most of our vacation. We will be looking into another venue for our next trip to Vegas.
