This is a fabulous resort in Coronado. The service culture is evident from the moment you make your reservation. The rooms are large and very comfortable, the Coffee Shop in the lobby is excellent, the restaurant Crown Landing offers a great menu with delicious food and attentive service and the team that works the terrace lounge and bar are second to none. For a family getaway in Coronado - this IS THE PLACE!

My wife and I had a great time at the Loews resort. We made it a combination work trip/vacation while my wife attended a conference. The best part of our experience truly was the hotel staff. Everyone we met was exceptional with their service, attitude and overall efforts to make everyone's stay there a great experience. Pro Tip: We paid a few dollars extra for our room rate which gave us a $100 daily food credit. Money well spent as we ate a lot at the pool restaurant and enjoyed the island weather.

The location of the resort is lovely. I remember staying here a number of years ago and it felt luxurious and high end. Now it feels worn and dated. The room, while clean, is just worn. And there’s not enough outlets for charging devices. Also, it seems they are selling resort passes for the pool area which shortchanges hotel guests compete for pool space. Seems ridiculous given the resort fee we paid to stay here. Finally, it was our experience that all the staff was friendly and welcoming- but restaurants (both) and pool bar service was so painfully slow and we had to ask multiple times for simple things across all three venues. Just didn’t feel consistent with a high end resort experience. So, meh.

The gentleman in charge of security went above and beyond the usual customer service when I had left my garment in the room. he personally packaged it and sent it to me by fed ex He was so nice and empathized with my problem. He was so polite and concerned that I get it back as soon as possible. He kept me informed with the tracking number and when to expect it He is a real gem showing care and concern all with a smile could feel thru the phone. A definite asset to Loews

I rated the hotel a 3 because I think it was an average experience for what should be more of a luxury hotel. Given the location towards the end of the Bay, you are either here on a family vacation or a business conference. Not really a convenient location to stay if you are in San Diego for business. The rooms are dated yet adequate. It just felt like you were stepping back a bit in time. As a business traveller I value a quiet room. The room was quiet, the curtains covered the windows so that no light really leaked in and the bed was super comfortable. So although the room look like it needed a facelift, the sleeping experience was exceptional. The bathroom was fine and had a separate shower and tub. One thing that did irritate me was that the TV didn't provide the option to log into Netflix or Max. That seems like a modern convenience most hotels now offer. The location of the hotel was a drag as is a $20 or $30 Uber ride to any restaurants or amenities. The exercise room was actually pretty good with a lot of dumbbells, a few exercise machines and enough bikes and treadmills.

The shuttle service runs every 30 minutes from 9 AM to 9 PM. No reservations are needed.

A daily resort fee of $39 plus tax per room will be collected upon arrival.
