"Disgusting, Unsafe, and Completely Disappointing – Do Not Recommend"

We are a LEGO-loving family who booked this trip months in advance, expecting the premium LEGOLAND New York price to match the experience. Unfortunately, it was a disaster from start to finish. On Day 1, every major ride our 7-year-old was excited for was closed (Factory Adventure, Dragon, Driving School, Splash Battle). Wait times for food exceeded an hour at multiple locations, and several stands were out of basic items like pretzels and soda cups. The cinema floor was soaked with water, and my son slipped and fell — with no staff around to help. The hotel dining area was filthy with trash-covered tables, and the $16 buttered noodles were inedible. Our hotel room was hot and stuffy with broken air conditioning, which was never fixed despite multiple complaints. Instead, a dirty, small fan was left in our room without explanation. The park staff allowed line-cutting, and the one ride we managed to get on (The Dragon) broke down while we were on it, leaving us stuck for 20 minutes. The hotel lobby in the evening was overcrowded chaos — kids vomiting in the hallways (which staff ignored when reported), deafening music inappropriate for children, and no managers in sight. I was even told by a staff member to “step over” the vomit. We left early, disgusted and disappointed. To top it off, my son and other children we traveled with contracted norovirus after returning home. If this is how poorly the front-facing areas are run, I shudder to think about what’s going on behind the scenes with food safety and sanitation. This was the worst theme park experience we’ve ever had — and we’ve been to many. Do yourself a favor: avoid LEGOLAND New York.

Good rides. Would not recommend for anyone over 15. The dragon was fun and the dark rides were awesome. Some of the rides have long waits but nothing over 2 hours. Great experience overall.

"Very pricy and a lot of walking but still offers fun for many."

Overall this place gets an OK rating. There are some good things and there are some bad things. First off, they rearranged there parking lots and unless you want to pay more to park closer, you are going to have a 15 mins hike to front entrance. The prices are insane. If you are staying overnight, Avoid the hotel at all costs. $500 a night for 5 people. That does not include food! There are plenty of hotels within 15 minutes of the park that are up to $350 cheaper per night, so if your kid can deal with not having a themed room, you can save $350. The park itself has several cool rides that are super fun which is the main reason for this 2 star review. They also offer rides that are fun for all age groups. The efficiancy however, is terrible (on 70% percent of rides). We waited in one line for 40 mins when there were only 25 people In front of us. It took them 40 mins to cycle the ride 3 times. (The ride is Ocean Explorer). Some of the staff lack a sense of urgency seeing that you paid $50+ for tickets and $500 for the hotel. Also, the park is only open for 7 hours which is unacceptle seeing some lines are 60+ minutes. They do offer a reserve and ride to skip the lines, but of course you have to pay extra. The food prices are insane as well. $17 for a burger! Just a burger! $30 for a cheese pizza! $10 for a hotdog! I think you probably get the message to bring your own food. The park is very big and hilly so come prepared to do a lot of walking. However, they do have a skyride from the top of the park to the bottom but the line is usually 20-40 mins. If you decide to come here are some things you should remember: Stay in a different hotel. Bring your own food. Buy tickets online. Come with a good pair of walking shoes.

Wanted to get to Lego Land with our grandchildren prior to the summer rush. Visited on the third day the park was open. Given the date in April, it was not a packed park. The park was understaffed; several rides were not open; it took about an hour for the kids to ride a small roller coaster that went around the track twice; it took as much as 45 minutes to get food from one location (fried apples); the food throughout the park was expensive; and all the playground areas were closed on this day. I can't imagine what the lines for everything will look like in the summer. That said, the grandkids still had fun, but from a grandparent and parent perspective this park is a one-and-done experience. There are better places to take the grands and the money would have been better spent on buying Lego sets, which the kids love.
