"Lego Heaven for kids"

We took our Lego obsessed 9yr old son to the hotel for 1 night (In the hopes he wasn’t too old yet). He loved it! From the disco elevator, themed room - his own area with a TV - the treasure hunt, master builders session, the pits of Lego and he even participated in the dance party. My husband and I could probably only handle 1 night lol! But the hotel is clean, coffee is good, bar is in view of the castle and the breakfast buffet was great. We also experienced excellent service while there. For us the park is a little of a rip-off since we do not join our son on most of the rides - but the hotel was worth the $250 we paid through booking.com. Would go back just for the hotel if we are in the area again.

"Buy The Insurance!!"

We have not stayed here yet so I am hoping that our experience gets better. When booking this hotel, they give you an option to buy insurance for your trip! Buy it! I knew that we had to travel these specific dates so I did not because I knew we would not cancel. However, a few weeks after booking, the price dropped quite a bit. I called in to get a price match on the hotel for the new price. I have done this many times, and every hotel honors it since I always book directly with them. Not this hotel! They said since I didn’t buy the insurance, they could not honor the lower price. I have never heard of this before and we travel to Orlando all the time. This is our first time here so I will know better if we choose to stay again. I just want to Leave this review so everyone else knows to buy this insurance. Not just for cancellations or date changes, but for pretty much anything that another hotel would normally do automatically.

This was perfect for our 4 and 7 year kids. They loved the themed rooms with a treasure hunt. There was tons of activities going on all day in the lobby. Dance parties in the elevator. The free breakfast had a lot of good food with omelet bar. Building blocks in the pool ad late night smores.

"Hotel is adorable, staff not so much."

I brought my 6 year old for a four day stay, as he was excited after seeing YouTube videos about LEGOLAND and the “resort.” While the themed hotel is absolutely adorable..it is currently under construction adding another wing. Our room was on the fourth floor at the front of the building which was a less than desirable view. Thankfully we didn’t spend much time in the room. We arrived, checked in and headed down to Bricks for the buffet. It was absolutely dreadful. Nothing more than corn dogs, mac and cheese, spaghetti, small salad area and “flank steak” that was nothing more than a few pieces of fatty beef on a carving board. The carving station was not manned by anyone and there was no more beef despite it only being a half hour after opening. Breakfast the next morning was no better..while they do have an omelet station, at 8:30 the scrambled eggs and bacon were gone, when asked if there would be more brought out we were told no, that was it.. the buffet is open till 10 am. The staff was less than pleasant and hardly accommodating.. trying to get a straw or lid for a child’s cup was like pulling teeth, as if we we’re inconveniencing them. The park itself is cute, lots of rides for the kids. My son who has been to Disney a few times loved it. The lines were not long we rode everything he wanted. The only negatives again were the staff! In walking past them, we would say hello, and they just put their heads down and kept walking or ignored us. Not one person said hello or asked how we were doing. We enjoyed the water park, we did the lazy river several times and my son thoroughly enjoyed the huge splash pad..we spent three hours there alone. We attended the dance party Tuesday night, where the Wizard and Knight ran the show. They were totally engaging and kept the kids and adults entertained... they were the highlight of the time at the hotel! All in all my son enjoyed his time at the park, hotel was cute but certainly not worth $400 per night, especially when the buffet was nothing more than fried foods that can be purchased in your grocers freezer, the biggest disappointment was the staff here, they were not friendly, unhelpful and obviously just there for the paycheck...we ended up going up to Disney Springs for Dinner two nights, with one night at the Magic Kingdom, we also took a day to go to the beach. My son was happy, but this will be a one and done trip...it could have been turned around by happy staff, but if they don’t want to be there, then why should we?!

We stayed two nights in a pirate room and had a great time! We loved the Master Builder classes ( or as our daughter called it, Lego School). Breakfast was great and we really enjoyed the fresh blueberries and strawberries and the omelettes! Everyone was so helpful and nice! My only complaint is that we never received a call that our room was ready for us. But I highly recommend staying here! It makes for an extra amazing lego adventure!
