"Great place for the price"

The 2 bedroom 2 bath condo was a little outdated but was nice. We stayed for 8 days 7 nights and didn't have any issues other than traffic getting out of condo. Very spacious and had washer and dryer in unit. We had plenty of room for 2 small kids and 3 adults.

"Consistently Disappointing Experience"
TripAdvisor user rating 1.0 out of 5
Reviewed February 09, 2025 NEW
I am extremely disappointed with the service at Legacy Vacation Resort. Every time I visit, the check-in process is a nightmare. The staff is consistently unprofessional and rude, showing no concern for guest experience. Once again, my room was not ready upon arrival, and instead of an apology or an attempt to make things right, the staff was dismissive and unconcerned. This seems to be a recurring issue at this resort, and the lack of customer service is unacceptable. I will not be returning and do not recommend this resort to anyone looking for a stress-free vacation

"Legacy Resort Oaks and Spa"
TripAdvisor user rating 1.0 out of 5
Reviewed February 09, 2025 NEW
I would not recommend staying at Legacy resort Oaks but the Spa side was alright. The resort occupies 2 properties on either side of a a busy 4 lane highway. The larger side, The Spa, has all the activities and the property is well maintained. The Oak side has a pool and hot tub, no property except parking to walk around and no activities. Our Oak 2 bedroom was dirty and not maintained. The front door had dent and large section of paint missing, it was very musty smelling and all the windows were screwed shut so no fresh air. All the kitchen cupboard doors were stuck shut, one burner on stove didn’t work, smoke detector was faulty, toilet did work maintenance came 3 time and said finally it couldn’t be fix, both bathtubs were not usable except as a shower…large crack and finish missing in bottom of one and rusty jets in other, bedroom cupboard doors wouldn’t open so maintenance removed them and stored in our second bedroom, i washed the floor myself and the water was black! However after the first week i was moved to Spa side and it was much better.

"Worst of the Worst-Photos Tell ALL"
TripAdvisor user rating 1.0 out of 5
Reviewed February 08, 2025 NEW
This is an honest review of the Legacy Vacation Resort in Kissimmee, Florida. First things first, the photos are of the second room they put us in. I wish I'd taken photos of the first room, however it was so terrible, we were only there for a matter of minutes. LVR rates as one of the worst places I've ever stayed, anywhere, ever. We were so excited for this business trip to the Orlando area, and with so many places to stay, it seemed like a good option. Well, it's not. It's terrible. Not poor, not average, but absolutely terrible. Check-in should have been our first red flag. The staff working the desk started out congenial, but became very defensive when we asked about the surprise resort fee. We realize everyone charges a resort fee, however the booking online clearly stated that ALL FEES AND TAXES are included. Although the staff agreed that it's not disclosed on the website, and that other people get upset, she became very defensive. Our guess is that she's had to handle to issue many times before. Not blaming her for the fee, we needed to know who specifically we needed to discuss it with. We were told that there was no one at Legacy to speak with, we'd have to contact corporate. She then gave us ONE water bottle to share amongst ourselves for the room. That was just odd. Nonetheless, we proceeded to drive to our room, which was just down the street. There are several entrances to this place. It was dark, and there were immediate indicators/signs that this wasn't just a resort location, but where people were actually living. Strewn laundry, bicycles, rubbish and more piled on patios of the units. It had the appearance of low-income, government subsidized living. The unit we entered not only smelled weird, but was dark and strange. The refrigerator door was open, and could not be closed because it was rubbing against the wall. The furniture looked like something out of a snowmobile cabin; scratched and worn to the point where you just felt gross. It was very cold (40s) so we tried turning on the heat. It didn't work. There were two tiny bath towels to share with the two bedroom occupancy. Cleaning service is every other day, so two towels regardless of size isn't going to cut it with four guests. We drove back over to the check-in office and asked to be relocated to another unit. There wasn't much debate or discussion and we were soon off to the second location. It was honestly much improved, and we were thankful. The first unit had been a 2-story townhouse style, the second was all one level, which was nice for us. The kitchen was much better and so was the furniture. Although I had a flea jump on me when I sat on the couch, my husband reminded me that one flea is probably not enough to complain about. It could happen anywhere. I suppose.... However there were still only a couple of towels. We put in a request for them, but they didn't arrive until we had to argue on the phone the next day with someone about not getting them. Please look at the pool towel photo. We were all hoping perhaps that it was just rust on the towels, but no one would volunteer for a smell test. Just gross. Both bedrooms had mattresses that were springy and extremely uncomfortable. Usually, I don't complain to hard about the mattresses, but these were horrible too and just added salt to the wound. You just didn't feel safe at this place. Orlando is huge, the Kissimmee area is enormous. For what we paid, we should have gotten much better, elsewhere. Bottom line, no one from management cared that the this place just isn't what is claims to be. Never. Ever. Again.
