"Very subpar"

This hotel is not ready for prime time. They advertise free breakfast from 6:30-9, but when we got there at 7:15, there was no more food. They only provide two towels per room (even though 3 people were staying in my two-queen-bed room) and when I asked for me, they said they didn't have any more. We had reservations for two nights, but when we returned to the hotel the evening of the second night, our key card -- and those of dozens of other people -- no longer worked. They had the audacity to blame is for storing the key cards wrong. Maybe that's reasonable if one person has a problem, but not when it's virtually the whole hotel.

The tall blonde was who checked me in…. She was friendly , and checked me in fast and efficiently, which was great because we were on the road for 12 hours before checking in….. nice , clean room

Are you a vampire? This may be the hotel for you. They apparently have decided that lighting in the rooms is not a priority neither is accommodating their guests. Let's start with the good- beds super comfy and rooms were clean. Location is great- I come for dog shows at Doswell several times a year. Blessing and a curse as I feel that they have no incentive to make improvements because they are across the street from Kings Dominion. Don't expect a mini fridge or microwave in the room- despite that being the norm at most every hotel at this price point. Breakfast is abysmal- not restocked- poor selection and the woman who used to care is gone. The staff that is there now seems dejected. I'm pretty forgiving as I travel with dogs but as a customer that has stayed with this hotel through their transition from La Quinta to Garner I am very disappointed

"Convenient to Meadow Event Park and Clean"

Fine 2-3 star hotel. Very clean room, plenty of hot water, microwave, refrigerator, both AC and heat works great. I was there for 9 days for dog shows. Only 1.6 miles from Meadow Event Park — very convenient to King’s Dominion, if that is your preference. Hot breakfast of eggs, sausages, breads and cold cereals. It is a lovely “budget” hotel.

"Skip this hotel"

The hotel was not very clean in public areas. Half the screen of the tv did not work ( showed black). The continental breakfast left a lot to be desired. The sausage did not look appealing at all and was cold. The oatmeal was watery. The eggs had no flavor. The coffee machine broke and took over an hour to get it fixed. There seemed to be a staffing shortage. There was not a soul in sight anywhere around the check- in desk. I would NOT recommend this hotel. The staff were very kind and tried to be helpful but they can only do so much…..
