Description

Featuring over 40 rides and attractions, Kennywood is Pittsburgh’s premier destination for family fun and entertainment! Open since 1898 and one of only two amusement parks designated as a National Historic Landmark, Kennywood offers an unmatched mix of modern thrills and fun classic rides. There are eight roller coasters, a 12-ride Kiddieland, and areas themed to Thomas & Friends™ and the Pittsburgh Steelers, highlighted by the record-setting Steel Curtain, and its famous Potato Patch fries!

Founded as a trolley park in 1898, and celebrating 125 seasons in 2023, the Kennywood experience extends beyond summer with popular Halloween and Holiday events, including Fright Night and Phantom Fall Fest, and Kennywood Holiday Lights featuring an abundance of holiday cheer.

Kennywood’s three coasters from the 1920s join attractions like Noah’s Ark and Kangaroo as rarities that cannot be found anywhere else. The Jack Rabbit, a wooden out-and-back roller coaster, is one of the oldest operating coasters in the world. Alongside the classics, thrill-seekers can enjoy modern roller coasters like Phantom's Revenge, Exterminator, Sky Rocket, and, of course, the park's biggest thriller—The Steel Curtain.

Great for families, Kiddieland offers pint-sized thrills like the Lil' Phantom roller coaster and the Whippersnapper, along with more gentle rides, offering something for everyone.

"The holiday season shines bright at Kennywood! You could even say it glows with Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Come to Holiday Lights and meet Rudolph and his friends Clarice, Bumble, and Sam the Snowman. Make family memories worth repeating with these classic Christmas characters.

Plus, Holiday Lights has more dates than ever in ‘25 , giving you more chances to enjoy all the holiday festivities. Take a stroll among more than three million twinkling lights and marvel at the tallest Christmas tree in the state. Savor the flavors of new festive foods and holiday drinks. Plus, explore the new Kennywood Junction themed area, experience up to 20 family and thrill rides, and enjoy special entertainment for all. Celebrate the season on select dates, November 14 - January 4."

I have been to kennywood park Since I was young And I'm 64 now and I still enjoy the rides very much love the roller coasters especially And the other rides are not bad as well. They have also added a few rides, I like about it you don't have to walk so far to get from 1 place to another it's very cozy and the food selection is very good, And also get free drinks because I'm a gold pass card holder... Yes If you're going to go there over twice a year you should become at least a gold card member and it comes with many perks such as discounts on food and Novelty items, and free parking

When they start charging a $12 "processing fee" for tickets (each) is when I stop going. Delgrossos doesn't do that. We cancelled our order and went there instead.
