"Probably a one-time deal for us"

The motel is old and a little dingy. The room was large and didn’t smell. Breakfast was standard motel breakfast: waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, donuts, juice, yogurt, and cereal. It was good enough. The killer was that when we turned down the sheets they had various spots that we could wipe off with a damp washcloth, but it was kind of obvious that they hadn’t been washed. I went to the front desk to ask for a clean set of sheets and was told that there was really nothing they could do about in until morning.

"Like seeing an old friend decline."

I have stayed at this hotel since it was the upscale harley hotel at least 20 years and have watched it decline steadily under the current management. First the good, the room was clean, bed comfortable and staff was very friendly especially Judy from the breakfast room. Breakfast was great and pool was beautiful. Restaurant had good food for weary travelers who don’t want to drive to a restaurant. Now the bad, carpet was soiled and needs to be removed since it is from the 60’s. Hot tub broken permanently and grounds were very unkept, debris everywhere. Our bathroom was worn out and pipes made noise. The flood lights around the grounds were burned out and I felt unsafe to walk my dog at night. This hotel could be so much more, the management needs to renovate as soon as possible! If you want to stay here, you will have to overlook the bad to experience the good.

"Man masturbating on hotel stairs"

Filthy hotel. If you have kids that touch everything, do NOT take them here. Everything is dusty and stained. When we arrived we played the game “guess the stains” because there were so many stains on the walls in our room. Ceiling leaking. Mold. Headboards were greasy. Our bathtub was running when we walked in and would not turn off. There is NO elevator here. Many stained stairs for your kids to crawl on. When my husband walked out to bring our suitcases to the car in the morning, there was a man masturbating on the red couch near the stairs while watching porn on his phone. That was the cherry on the poop crumbled moldy cake.

"Kind staff, horror within"

I booked two nights at this hotel in order to attend a nearby music festival. I'd like to start off by saying that the staff was absolutely lovely. Every member of staff I met was so very kind. That being said, this place was a nightmare. I don't consider myself picky, but the first thing we noticed was the overall rundown and filthy appearance of the hallways. The carpet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. Still, the room had working AC and the beds seemed comfortable. That's where the positives end. There were stains on the bedding which could've just been normal wear and tear, but really grossed out my partner. We then tried to go use the pool and hot tub and were met with something straight out of Silent Hill. The pictures online must either be 20 years old or heavily edited, because the steel beams on the ceiling were riddled with rust and completely eaten away it some areas. There was rust everywhere and when we tried to approach the hot tub we found it covered with a tarp with a sign on it from the health department declaring it high risk for anyone to use it. We returned to our room after trying to make the best of the pool itself. That's when I noticed, upon picking up a towel post-shower to dry myself off, that the towels in the bathroom were damp and used. The room hadn't been properly cleaned. I viewed the stains on the bed more critically after this. I still didn't complain because I was exhausted. Then the key cards to our room stopped working. We hide to hike through the maze of this hotel to get them fixed at the front desk. At this point I mentioned the issues with the cleanliness of the room and the lady at the counter was nice but didn't offer any solutions. Had we had other options for a hotel we would've gone elsewhere but everywhere was booked up. I'm not one to complain or leave a bad review, but this place is not somewhere I'd want to stay ever again.

"Falling down"

We used to come to this hotel all the time when we came to Steel City Con. It was decent to stay in and has a pool and hot breakfast. This stay has been by far the worst experience I have had at a hotel. The ceilings are literally coming down on the floors in the rooms and in the hallways. The tub water runs constantly and the water is luke warm at best. The dead bolt doesnt work on the door and the parking lot/stairs/road around the hotel are crumbling. I will never bring my family here again. It needs shut down and get a health inspection.
