"Our Home Away From Home in PGH"

Great staff and location right on the River! Safe, comfortable and a great value. Large, clean room with fully-equipped kitchenette. Stop for a cocktail and say Hi to Julian. Walkable to East Carson Street, and a quick drive from Union Station.

"Not family friendly or helpful for our stay"

I hate to write a negative review, but confidently can say we will never stay at a Hyatt House again after this experience. We reserved through Expedia, and called twice the week before to confirm misc details. It wasn't until we arrived that they told us there was an outdoor patio wedding taking place right below our room, music would be loud until 1030. I asked if they could move us away from the music because we have a 2 year old who goes to sleep far before 1030, and they said they could not do anything for me. When I asked why they hadn't mentioned it the two times that week I had called, they said it wasn't their place to do so, and if I wanted to find another hotel I could... We have stayed at hotels with events before, but they were held in room with acoustical treatment so the entire hotel didn't feel the music. This was insane... the floor was shaking, the music was SO loud, there were people in the hallways unruly, cops arrived, but all within the non-quiet hours so the hotel wouldn't help us in any way. I called the hotel customer service to complain, and they said this was all reasonable for a night in a hotel?! I also called Expedia multiple times, and they couldn't get the hotel to issue a refund either. Totally unacceptable, a waste of money. The room was also run down but I would have just gone with that if it weren't for the hotel staff's failure to even pretend like they wanted to help us have a better than terrible experience. I cannot recommend this hotel less!

"Substandard for a Hyatt"

The included breakfast, was not up to Hyatt standards. Both variety and quality was very poor. Be aware the hotel charges an incremental daily charge of $20/night for parking-ouch! The room itself was clean (one fixture damaged) and nice size. House cleaning was only every other day.

"I really like this Hotel"

This will be my second review, having stayed here two years ago. I want to update two matters: 1. The gym now has a Peleton. I logged in with my phone and took off. 2. The free breakfast is perfectly adequate, I settled for a good bagel, but bacon, potatoes, and eggs are also available. I want to mention, however, the unpleasant gentleman overseeing the breakfast. He was unfriendly and very unhelpful. He is a poor representative of a nice hotel.

Excellent location! $20 parking is not too bad. Very tight parking space, so be careful if you have a big car. Cooktop in room was great, especially since breakfast was awful! Very limited selection. I had continental breakfast that was much better this "hot" breakfast.
