Good To Know

Flyers must be at least 3 years old.
Flyers weighing between 260-300 lbs may require further evaluation by iFLY staff during check-in to assess accommodation possibilities and any additional restrictions.
Pregnant women should refrain from flying.
Participants with non-removable hard casts or prosthetics are not allowed to fly.
Those with a history of head, neck, back, or shoulder injuries, heart conditions, or any other medical conditions hindering physical activity or increasing injury risk are advised not to fly.
iFLY discourages individuals with prior shoulder dislocations from flying.
Wear comfortable lace-up sneakers or running shoes, along with casual pants and a shirt without a collar. Your flight suit goes over these clothes, so no need to change. Braided or low bun hairstyles are recommended for those with long hair.
Larger goggles that fit over eyeglasses are provided.
All first-time flyers are required to take the training class.

Description

Excitement, adrenaline and adventure – iFLY Atlanta offers it all in the flight experience of a lifetime. Defy gravity as you soar on a column of air inside a vertical wind tunnel that moves air up in a vertical column, creating the indoor skydiving experience. Located just off 1-75 about 15 miles northwest of Downtown Atlanta, iFLY is a fun activity for individuals of all ages, whether you are a first-time flyer or a seasoned skydiver.

The world leader and most experienced company when it comes to vertical wind tunnels, iFLY uses unique and superior technology. Multiple fans located at the top of the flight chamber produce a wall-to-wall airflow that is smooth and fun to fly in. The air flow is totally controllable. This, combined with professional instructors, makes for the most exciting flight experience possible.

Flyers do not need any previous experience! At iFLY, you will learn how to fly your body in a controlled manner with the assistance of your instructor. Professional flight instructors will provide you with all of your flight gear, along with the fundamental skills for body flight through a classroom training session. All you have to do is get ready to smile because this will be the most exciting thing you have ever accomplished!

Skydivers love freefall because it's the closest possible thing to true human flight. Now everyone can experience the same exhilaration, in a safe environment, in full view of family and friends!

Everything that you need for a flight experience is waiting for you at iFLY. No experience is needed, just a sense of adventure and a yearning for the supreme personal flight experience. The innovative sport of body flight is always new and always exciting.

The entire process lasts roughly 90 minutes. Flight packages include not only your flight time, but also your pre-flight training and gear rental. Flyers must be age 3 and up and weigh under 300lbs to participate.

Please note that flying is not recommended for guests who are pregnant, or if you have ever had a history of neck, back, or heart problems, or if you have ever had a prior shoulder dislocation.

"Fun for the whole experience"

This was just so much fun. My son ,10, and I flew 5xs with an added high-flying experience. I would absolutely recommend this add on. So cool. Our instructor was named Corbin and he was awesome. He was easy to understand and had a great personality

"Never again!"

Arrived 17 minutes early and was turned away. Apparently you need to be 20 minutes or more on arrival. But the facility does a poor job of making that known. We went back and looked and sure enough that was written but not obvious. There have been so many people who have had this issue too. And…. They run over 45 minutes late for every appointment. Not a fan at all. Our waivers were done online as well. The people at the desk were rude. Customer service is 0! Terrible experience! They can keep the 150. I think that’s what they count on.

Fun experience for people who are in shape with no physical impairments. Must be under 260 lb. You will only get two to four times in the Wind Tunnel but it is worth it. Daughter did it. I watched.

"Up Up And Away"

Fantastic Flight at iFly Atlanta! It is a great choice for someone who doesn’t want to outdoor skydive but wants to try something like it. Sham was a great instructor! Best advised if you do two flights and include the High Flight package for a great deal. The first flight will give you a chance to get a hang of flying and the second will let you test out what you learned the first time. Definitely a must if you have an iFly facility near you or if you are visiting Atlanta.

Kids just loved it, Very safe for both COVID-19 and for the people who want to try and fly. Make sure you call and make reservations. Even though is short , the kids enjoyed every second of it.

Went to iFly with my nephew, we had an excellent time. Lots of discounted rates available, however, beware they will try to up-sell you when you get there. That said, I suggest that you add video/ pictures (you wont regret it). Instructions were clear and after the first time it was easier. Therefore, i would suggest getting a package that allows at least 4 flights...the usual deals only provide 2 flights. Great time !

"Great Experience "

I went with my son to iFly Atlanta thinking there is no way I’m doing this. My son talks me in to jumping too the whole time I was terrified. When it was my turn I went in I almost changed my mind last minute, but the guy was there guiding me. I was so busy following the hand signals and trying to do it right that I forgot to be scared. When I finished I had a feeling of accomplishment because I did something I feared and it was so much fun!!! This was a great experience my son loves iFly. The activity is a little pricey so I won’t be participating everytime. Appointment are required. Warning: Adults if you have back problems or shoulder/neck issues I do not recommend this activity.

How does it operate?

A vertical wind tunnel utilizes fans at the top to pull air through the flight chamber, which is then pushed down the sides through Return Air Towers. This process passes the air through an inlet contractor, compressing and accelerating it before it reenters the flight chamber. The outcome is a steady column of air that allows you to achieve flight.
