The hotel was beautiful. The grounds were excellent. The room was only okay. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a nice area by the marina and was a 5-minute drive to the boardwalk.

I had a beautiful 2 night 'staycation' at the Hyatt Mission Bay. We were given a gorgeous, beautifully decorated room on the 17th floor, overlooking the bay & beach. The pleasant ocean breeze was a welcome part of the seaside experience and the sunsets were absolutely soul changing. Our experience was perfect from our check in with Pierre at the front desk to our check out with Isobella 2 days later. Everyone at the resort were friendly and helpful on our 2 days spent there. I highly recommend this as it gives you the true "California Experience" and it is close to the airport, downtown, the beach, and many attractions.

"ANT INFESTED AND SCAM TO CHARGE YOU FOR TOWELS"

As a frequent traveler (Lifetime Platinum Marriott and former Diamond now Discoverist on Hyatt) this a the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I was totally bitten up by ants as the property is infested and they got into the room. On top of that, they try to scam you with hotel pool towels charges even though they were returned. The low ratings 3.9 on Tripadvisor speaks for itself though 3.9 is generous.

This was our 2nd stay at this location. Last time we am with our small pup and I was so impressed At how pet friendly this resort is. This time we were here again with our kids for my wife's birthday and the Mission Bay triathlon. We love the pool, waterslides, and the Saturday movie night in the pool. This hotel is super family friendly and well located. The hotel manager personally welcomed us via email, was very responsive to Our messages, and also sent us complementary champagne and chocolates to celebrate my wife's day. We'll be making this our regular spot.
