"Marina Suites are horrible!"

I stayed in a King marina suite. The best thing about this hotel is the location, but it goes downhill from there. These "suites" are slightly nicer than a typical motel as they are not part of the main hotel tower. The rooms are in a separate building with open hallways and zero sound insulation (you could hear people using the bathroom next door). The room smelled like mildew, and a sewage smell came from the drain when using the shower. The maintenance crew "fixed" it by pouring some type of deodorizer down the drain. This helped the smell from getting worse, but did not help the smell that was already embedded into the walls, furniture, and carpeting. Carpet felt very dirty like it hadn't been cleaned ever (same with the sofa). The sofa bed was also trash as the mattress could only support a small toddler. Self parking at $50 is expensive, and kept filling up by about 8:30PM each day we were there. It was nice that they would still help with valet, but it was such an inconvenience.

"Great quick get away"

Had a great experience from prior to arrival through checkout. We booked 2 rooms (4 adults) for 3 nights and called to discuss having the rooms be connected. We were offered a paid upgrade, which we took, and received confirmation that the rooms would be connected. When we checked in at 4 pm the rooms were not ready, however we only had to wait 50 minutes. During that time we were given access to the pool and bar area which we enjoyed. We had an Oceanview corner suite king and an ocean view 2 queen room on a high floor. The view was fantastic. There was a balcony for each room which we enjoyed. The corner suite is very spacious and we spent our time there comfortably. Rooms were clean and housekeeping did come earlier than most hotels. I am use to them coming in late afternoon, but here they were there late morning. Not an issue for us as we were out of our rooms pretty early. We also were surprised with a bottle of wine, chocolate covered strawberries and a personalized welcome note from the team. As others mentioned, walls are a bit thin and you can hear neighbors. However it was not overwhelming nor did it interfere with us being able to sleep. I did hear more from the window that faces the road, but wasn't too bad. Have had much worse. Parking is a bit tight as far as spaces between cars, but we didn't have any issues when we left for the day. Our parking pass scanned well and we didn't encounter any issues. They also have valet parking. We had breakfast at the Red Marlin, which was a bit expensive $36 per person for the buffet. Two of us ordered a la cart and 2 did the buffet. Service was great and the servers were very attentive. Food was OK. We also ate at the Pelican on the Bay which serves standard American. Food was surprisingly good and drinks were too. The Market sells Starbucks and grab and go items. We did rent a boat from the Marina which is part of Hyatt. They do rent our paddle boards, kayaks too. Wonderful experience! Really enjoyed our time in the bay. A must do if you want to sea the sea lions up close and enjoy a swim in the bay. Also visited Belmont Park, which is about a mile away. We drove, but in hindsight could have easily walked as the day was nice and the walk is a straight shot from the hotel. We did not go swimming at the pool. There are waterslides that the younger kids were enjoying. But I do think that for the size of the hotel, the pool area is very small. Everyone seemed to be having a good time and you can get food and drinks at the Pelican on the Bay which is right inside the pool area. Overall a great quick get away. The staff there really do shine and go out of their way to make sure your stay is nice.

"Made Our Trip Extra Special!!"

I cannot say enough about our incredible experience. I am a Hyatt member. Nevertheless, when I received an email from the hotel asking me the names and ages of the children who were accompanying me and if there was anything they could do to enhance my experience, etc., I never expected to be treated as special as we were. Sydney Crister, Guest Experience Ambassador, is beyond amazing. I was bringing my two nieces, who recently lost their father. Sydney sent us a special note for them, bottles of sparkling apple cider, s'mores kits, chocolates, etc. It put the BIGGEST smiles on their faces, and they could not be any more thrilled. Throughout our stay, we were constantly checked on by other employees including Aaron and others to make sure we were happy and being taken care of. The staff even upgraded our room for free without us even asking. I just cannot thank you guys enough! Best experience ever!

"Paying for the view!"

It’s been decades since I stayed here and love the location. Staff here is very friendly and welcoming, check-in was fast for my 3 night stay. I had a corner room in the tower facing Marina and Seaworld so the view was outstanding, particularly at fireworks time. Room cleanliness was okay at best. Handprints all over inside of windows, carpet did not appear to be well vacuumed (little items all over) and night one they had not provided washcloths. They texted asking about cleanliness and I reported, however nothing happened to remedy. Second day they brought washcloths but then there were no hand towels. A nice man brought some up, but my thought is they are struggling with staffing on the housekeeping side. Sleep quality decent but you do hear activity outside even with windows closed. Overall I enjoyed my time for okay accommodations. I love the water and absolutely enjoyed looking at it every day. I would get caught free at The Mission Market on the dock, GREAT service there and they make a great Oatmilk Cappuccino.
