I'll start by saying the room was comfortable and clean. The staff attentive and the resturant pretty good. If you're booking because its a "Universal Hotel" the reality is the following: the shuttle leaves once a day 830a and returns at 7pm (period). We never even found where it picked up. Uber was between $8-$10 each way. There is no airport shuttle ( yes, that is clearly posted) Uber was around $30. The location was ok but its not really near anything. They did send something out to be dry cleaned for us. It was a nice place to stay but not theme park friendly

I visit Orlando often and was very excited to check out this hotel as I had never stayed here before. I really liked the retheming done by Marriott when they purchased this property- the retro styling is well done and the building has a very classy feel. Rooms were well appointed and spacious, the staff was friendly, and the location is extremely convenient to Universal, the highway, and I-drive. I didn't make use of the amenities because my trip was very short (less than 2 days) and was for business. While I had hoped to at least take a dip in the hot tub, I happened to visit on the weekend with unseasonably cold weather for Florida... I wasn't about to go outside in my swimsuit with weather in the 30s 😂 My one complaint is that the parking is atrociously expensive, and nobody even told me when I checked in that I would need to pay for it- they asked me to scan a QR code and told me parking was only for hotel guests. They neglected to tell me that self parking costs almost $40 a day after tax! I was flabbergasted at checkout to have them charge me almost $80 for my two nights there- which is actually more expensive than parking at Universal up the street. I've stayed a lot of hotels, and generally self parking is included- but even when it's not, I've never seen it be this expensive. This is more than valet parking was when I was in Boston, which is really saying something. I likely would have given my stay five stars if it wasn't for the parking factor. I might hesitate to book here again because of that additional cost per night.

Very clean and modern hotel with nice rooms and plenty of space by the pool. The restaurant and bar are what you woukd expect and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I woukd recommend The Landy as a good quality and excellent value hotel amid the many choices in Orlando.

The hotel is a nice addition to Marriotts Tribute Portfolio. Everything is very clean and well kept, a modernized property with very friendly staff, great amenities and a relaxing quiet stay right in the heart of Orlando’s entertainment district.
