We had been walking Hollywood Boulevard for quite some time when we decided to take a tour with Starline. Best decision we made! The tour was excellent in a open top van. Our guide was great with tons of information, great music, and an overall fun driver! Would highly recommend.

"Best Ride to Universal"

Best way to travel up to Universal Studios for a one day trip. Didn’t want to hassle with a rental car so got a R/T ticket to Universal Studios. They picked us up outside our hotel and dropped us there as promised. Had a full day at Universal and let the heck LA traffic to the driver. Definitely will do this next time we need a ride to Universal.

A little disappointing for the cost. We took 2 different routes but didn't do the downtown LA tour as we read it's not the safest area to visit. Drove past the trochadero club where Elton John made his USA debut and it wasn't even mentioned

"Dull, expensive ride on a bus - NOT what was advertise & no acknowledgement of my complaint"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5

Starline haven't acknowledged my direct complaint, so here's a public review. We booked the City Tour by Night, a 4 hour sunset tour. The tour was due to start at 18.00 and the tour guide came at 18.20. We had asked your staff, but they said that the tour guide liked to do his own thing and we needed to be patient. The first 15mins were spent chatting at the stop on things we had already seen and 10mins for a loo stop - we’d all gone already, knowing we’d be on a bus tour. Someone complained and the guide took us to the bus. We drove for 20mins to the Farmer’s Market and were dropped, told that we had an hour to ourselves - no guide, no tour. We said this was not in the programme of the tour. When the hour was up, we took a very quiet and uninspiring route, he pointed out hospitals we passed, eventually getting on the Freeway and heading up to the Griffith Observatory. At the Observatory, the published tour highlight, we were told that we only had 5mins to take some outside photos, because we were running late. We’d saved this tour for the last night of our trip for the Observatory. Such a disappointment. We did point this out to the guide. As I say, he was very kind, but we didn’t see or learn anything on your tour and feel that it was incredibly badly advertised - we would have loved to have done the tour we booked. What was planned as the highlight of our visit to LA (we live in England), felt like a waste of our evening and a complete waste of the $98 (each) ticket price.
