The main reason I stay at this motel is the location. Most of the time I will walk to the places I want to go. It has a nice breakfast buffet that is included with the room. The one complaint I have is the size of the bathroom. It is very small and there is no counter space.

Our stay at the Hampton Inn Gatlinburg was beyond disappointing and completely unacceptable. From the moment we arrived the issues were obvious. The first room we were given had roaches. Not just one, but multiple, and it became clear why. The door seal was improperly installed which left an open invitation for pests to come and go. On top of that, the room was filthy. There were literal food stains smeared on the walls that we had to clean ourselves before we could even feel remotely comfortable. The floors were dirty and it was obvious they had not been cleaned thoroughly if at all. Trying to get ahold of the front desk was another headache. Calls often went unanswered. When we finally reached someone the only solution offered was to move us to another room, which should never have been necessary if the first room had been maintained to even the most basic standard of hospitality. This entire stay fell far below the quality and cleanliness Hampton Inn claims to provide. Between the pest problem, the lack of cleanliness, and the poor customer service, I can say with certainty that we will never stay here again. Save yourself the frustration and book elsewhere. To make matters worse, the pool is being operated in an unsafe condition. There are blocks literally falling off the side of the pool, with only a bit of caulk slapped on as a temporary fix. The missing blocks create edges at just the right height to cause a serious tripping hazard, especially for children. Combined with the overall lack of cleanliness, the pool area feels unsafe, poorly maintained, and not up to the standard of a reputable hotel.

Very noisey. Street noise and KIDS playing and slamming doors late at night. Hard to rest. Clean. Very worn facilities. Even though a sign "no pets" in the breakfast area. Well, I guess some guest don't know how to read. All four morning we were there pets were in the breakfast area. Things change and this accommodation certainly has accomplished that skill. Parking fee has been added and if you don't read the small print it will never be known.

As far as location, staff, breakfast, and room cleanliness, they were all top-notch. The location is at the end of the Parkway with several restaurants within a few minutes walk. However, I felt duped the minute I drove up to the property. It was not what I expected for a Hampton Inn. When I think of Hampton Inn, I think of a main entrance with all the rooms inside. This property has a main lobby, but then you go back outside to your room. I wasn’t comfortable having my room door exposed to the public. I was told there was an ice machine on my floor, but it was out of order. So I had to go to the lobby and pay $2 each for cold water bottles. That seemed like a sham, especially being in a mountain town where people want ice cold water to drink after a hot day of hiking. Most of the photos shown seem like they are stock photos. The low rating is more a reflection on my expection of a Hampton Inn property, than it is on the hard working staff. If I were to return, I would probably stay at the traditional Hampton Inn located down the road.

Location is perfect, right on the strip so you can walk to so many things. Pet friendly! Good breakfast. Room kinda small but very nice. Bathroom very small if you have a family. We managed ok with 2 people. Outdoor seating in front was great to people watch!
