"Not just for kids! Amazing Experience"

10 Things I Wish I Knew Before Visiting Great Wolf Lodge – Concord, NC (Mom Edition) If you’d told me I’d fall in love with a kids’ resort, I’d have laughed. But Great Wolf Lodge in Concord flipped the script—this place? Pure joy. Not just for the kids, but for me too. Here are 10 things I wish I knew before we went: Get the breakfast package – It’s convenient, quick, and helps start your day off right. Pack your own waterproof gear – Phone cases and bags are way overpriced in the gift shop like 33 bucks. There is a walmart less than 3 miles from the resort. Shop early – Don’t wait for the weekend. Popular gift shop items sell out fast. Say yes to the arcade + laser tag – Unexpected fun for the whole fam! Bring closed-toed water shoes – The floors can be slippery, and plastic ones don’t cut it. Your room key is a wristband – If it’s lost, everyone has to reset theirs. Expect elevator delays – Use the stairs when you can. The Tornado slide is intense – Maybe skip it if your little is under 5. Return the towels – If not, your room key won’t work (ask me how I know 😅). Walmart + mall = 5 mins away – Great for last-minute supplies or a break from resort food. Final thoughts: It’s not just a family resort—it’s a memory-maker that invites you to have fun, too. Tap into joy, try something new, and let yourself enjoy the ride.

"Great Vacation Resort"

Absolutely loved my stay at this resort! The rooms were spacious and clean, with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The staff were friendly and attentive, always willing to lend a helping hand. The amenities were top-notch, including a fantastic pool and fitness center. The resort's location was perfect for exploring nearby attractions and hiking trails. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway or adventure-filled vacation. One of the best resorts I've stayed at – can't wait to come back! The food was also delicious, with plenty of options to suit every taste.

"Pretty fun."

The bunk bed mattresses are horribly hard and the pillows are hard as well. The water park is fun but the tornado ride isn't even scary so I think they need a scarier ride. The lazer tag is fun. the bowling alley is small. The cake was too sweet. Overall it was pretty fun.

"Disappointed by Parking Chaos – Memorial Day Weekend Letdown"

This was our second stay at Great Wolf Lodge, and we were hoping to become regular “Wolfpack” Visitors, as we only live 25 minutes away in Charlotte. While our kids enjoyed the water park, mini golf and the activity’s, the experience was overshadowed by a disastrous parking situation. We visited on Memorial Day weekend, and went to go out to a local restaurant for dinner Saturday night, and it took us over 45 minutes just to EXIT the resort. They implemented a new parking system with a turnstile and cars were completely backed up. The system wouldn’t recognize our wristband (even though we had already paid for parking), and it repeatedly asked for a physical ticket, then instructed us to pay. Cars backed up, drivers were going around the curb through the turnstile, and guests were visibly frustrated. Finally, an employee came and just opened up the arm and let all the cars through. We missed our dinner reservation and had to wait over an hour at another restaurant with two young children — all because we couldn’t get out of the parking lot. The next day, the same problem happened again when we tried to leave. It really left a bad taste in our mouth. This kind of disorganization at a premium-priced family resort is unacceptable. I let the manager know about our frustration, and he was less than caring or helpful. If you have a flight to make, a race or an event to attend, beware of the amount of time it will take you just to exit the lodge. Unless serious improvements are made, we’re not likely to return.

"No check in time they can do what they want BEWARE"

They told me there is no check in time when our room was not ready at 4 that the website says it’s up to their discretion. For someone that has regular medical treatments I need to do I can’t just wonder when they may let me check in. This is our third trip and now our last just know you may not get tour room until it suits them
