Comfort Inn Fort Mill Amusement Park at Carowinds Blvd in Fort Mill, SC

In general, the stay was nice. The building seemed to be on the older side and parts were showing its age, but overall it wasn't bad. The staff that we interacted with were amazingly friendly and generally helpful. The only downside really was the TV. We checked in fairly late and just wanted to unwind a little before going to sleep but the TV didn't work. I reported it to the front desk (the guy there was very friendly) and he said that he'd call maintenance. Half an hour later, we hadn't heard from anyone so I went back to the front desk to find out that maintenance wasn't onsite and it that it would be awhile before the person arrived. We cancelled the request because we needed to get to sleep. Other than that, everything was fine.

Checked in Saturday Memorial day weekend to a double bed room. Since the floor corners of the room had spider webs I decided to check the mattress. There were dead bed bug eggs in one mattress. It got worse after checking the second bed the mattress was bloody almost looked like a crime scene. One of the front desk staff seem puzzled that this was a problem. I had to tell her that blood is hazardous and there was no way I was going to sleep on a bloody bed. After asking for a manager I was told she was on vacation and all rooms were booked due to the holiday weekend. Miraculously she came up with offer for a room with a king bed. After telling her there were 4 of us she found a king suite room with a sleep sofa. Moving into the king with sofa there was partially dried vomit in the kitchenette sink and bugs running out of the vomit when I turned the light on it. By the time I got my phone camera out there was one bug left making its way out. I then turned on the bathroom light to find a roach running up the wall. Back down to the front desk, the staff seemed to be annoyed that I was back with another complaint that the condition of King suite room was no better. She stated there was nothing else she could do there were no other rooms available. This all took place in about a 40 minutes after checking in. I told the front desk staff I could not sleep in these conditions I would check out and asked for a refund. The staff lady stated I would not receive a refund, the payment was already taken in the system and she had no way of refunding it, I could take it up with the manager when she returned from vacation. After arriving home the following day I left a message for the manager to please return my call so I could talk about my concerns and refund. After 2 weeks of waiting for a response I have not received a call back from anyone from the Comfort Inn but I noticed the refund was on my statement. This shows there lack of concern about the conditions of there Hotel. Now I am letting people know this hotel is a health department issue since the staff and manager of this facility don`t think there is a problem with people sleeping in bug infested rooms with vomit and bloody mattresses.

Hotel was great! Staff was wonderful! Easy access to the park and great food entertainment close to the hotel. Price was fair and rooms were clean. Kids loved the pool and the free breakfast. We will stay again! If you are looking for a great price with great location for a visit to Carowinds this is the place!

Maria is the best she helped me resolve my problem i had on memorial day weekend I had told her I would be back and I came back the next weekend with family had a fantastic stay awesome customer service both visits and with the reservations ill keep coming back every time I go for a trip thank you so much for the hospitality yall show

Our recent stay at Comfort Inn Fort Mill (Amusement Park Area) was fantastic from start to finish! If you're planning a trip to Carowinds or just passing through the Charlotte/Fort Mill area, this hotel is an excellent choice. The location is unbeatable — just minutes from the Carowinds entrance, with easy access to I-77 and plenty of dining options nearby. The hotel itself is very well-maintained. The lobby was clean and welcoming, and the staff greeted us with genuine warmth and professionalism. Check-in was smooth, and we were in our room within minutes.
