Description

from Ferry Services
Blue & Gold Fleet is the premier provider of ferry and water excursion services on San Francisco Bay, providing regular ferry service to Sausalito, Tiburon, and Angel Island.

Angel Island:
Take the Angel Island ferry for a day of fun and history in the middle of the Bay. Angel Island is a California State Park, wildlife preserve and one of the finest historical sites in the Bay Area that includes military garrisons and compounds from every major war dating back to the U.S. Civil War.
Also known as the “Ellis Island of the West,” Angel Island’s Immigration Station was the first stop for millions of Pacific Basin, Asian and Russian immigrants entering the United States. Be sure to check out the newly-restored Immigration Station!

Sausalito Ferry:
Step aboard the Sausalito Ferry for a smooth, comfortable ride to this delightful community just across the Bay. The city of Sausalito offers the charm of a quaint Mediterranean seaside village tucked amongst the hills of Marin County. Meander the narrow streets, browse through art galleries and shops, and dine at some of the best restaurants in the Bay Area, all the while enjoying stunning views of San Francisco.

Tiburon Ferry:
Take the Blue & Gold Fleet Tiburon Ferry for a memorable and relaxing time. Tiburon is a former railroad town that was the terminus of the Northwestern Pacific Railroad until 1963. Since then, it has been transformed into a charming seacoast village. Tiburon’s classic main street offers antique, wine, specialty shops and more. Bring your bike along and leisurely tour the shoreline paths or physically challenge yourself by hiking nearby Mt. Tamalpais.

NOTE: Cruises may not operate during inclement weather.

"Best Christmas Parade Cruise in 20 Years"
December 2016
I have taken the Lighted Yacht Parade cruise for over 15 years. This year was remarkable because of Capt Tom and Crew. Capt Tom wanted all of us in the spirit and asked that we call attention to our Ferry Boat as we approached the judges viewing area. We all had snacks and drinks and were enjoying the mild night. I tried to pass it along to sing Jingle Bells as we were going but I couldn't get it to catch on. I saw the first mate and asked him to tell the Captain to suggest it on the speaker. Within i minute Capt Tom invited me up and said the singing was a great idea but he needed both hands to manage the boat. He gave me the mic and introduced me as the New Even Coordinator. He and I lead several christmas songs that Everone joined in on. I pointed out other boats and told jokes and everyone was laughing and really having fun. When we passed the judges even people on the toilets were singing. All because Capt Tom and the crew saw an avenue and took it. We had a fantastic evening and I thank Blue and Gold for opening my groups holiday in a Holly Jolly Way!!!!

We used this ferry for a trip to Sausalito. The crew was great and it was an easy way to get to the other side of the bay. The ferry service also provides routes to other locations.

"Fun bay tour. Be prepared for cold wind, even in July"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5
Reviewed June 29, 2019 NEW
We had no issues buying tickets the morning of our harbor tour, but there was a bit of a line to board the boat. We decided to sit outside, on the top deck, and found ourselves behind the wheelhouse; our forward view was a little impaired but we had a great view off the port side of the boat. Even though it was July the winds off the water that morning were very brisk and most of us had come prepared with jackets, if not a sweater and jacket. It was not enough to drive us indoors. It also meant that the water in the bay was a little choppy but not so much as to make us seasick. The recorded narration was informative, sometime difficult to hear through the noisy wind. The boat turned around after passing under the Golden Gate Bridge, passed close to Alcatraz on the way back to Pier 39

"Easy Ferry to Jack London Square"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5
Reviewed June 26, 2019 NEW
After a light breakfast at Fisherman's Wharf we took the ferry over to Oakland from Pier 39. We wanted to visit Jack London Square and watch the Saturday Fair. After a few hours we returned to The Ferry Building for some shopping. It was a great day, and we got some nice pictures of sail boats, the Bay Bridge and the San Francisco Skyline. It's an easy way to get around the Bay Area without having to bother with finding a parking place.

My family did the bay tour as part of our CityPass. We were there over spring break. It was busy, but we didn't have to wait in line and it wasn't terribly crowded on the boat. Lots of options to sit inside or outside - we did both. The view of the Golden Gate Bridge was phenomenal!
