Description

Authentic Hawaiian culture meets breathtaking panoramic views at Experience Nutridge Luau, an intimate, hands-on celebration set at the historic Nutridge Estate inside Pu?u Ualaka?a Wayside Park. Perched along the rainforest ridge known in Hawaiian as “rolling sweet potato hill,” this stunning location overlooks downtown Honolulu and the Waianae mountain range, offering one of the island’s most stunning sunset settings.

Begin your evening with a warm welcome, a painted kukui nut lei, and a spectacular sunset over Honolulu. Participate in hands-on cultural activities such as weaving ti leaves, throwing a Hawaiian spear, and learning traditional Hawaiian protocols. Enjoy interactive workshops, cultural games, and the imu ceremony before sitting down to a farm-to-table dinner.

Dinner features a thoughtful blend of Hawaiian and local food traditions—Hawaiian cuisine reflects the ingredients and techniques brought by early Polynesian settlers, while “local food” emerged between 1850 and 1930 as immigrant workers from Asia, Polynesia, Europe, and America introduced new flavors. The menu includes Nalo greens with liliko‘i dressing, steamed white rice, kalua pua‘a (shredded pork), pulehu chicken, pua‘a lau lau (meat-filled taro leaf wraps), sweet bread, tropical pineapple, lilikoi bars (passion fruit cookies), haupia (coconut jello), u‘ala (purple sweet potato), and baked fish in garlic-lemon-butter sauce.

As the evening continues, enjoy traditional Hawaiian music, storytelling, and hula dancing that bring the island’s history to life, culminating in a thrilling fire-knife performance beneath the stars. Originally Hawaii’s first macadamia nut plantation, the Nutridge Estate has welcomed legendary guests, including Clark Gable, Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, and Elvis Presley during the filming of Blue Hawaii. Today, it is home to Oahu’s #1 luau—an intimate, culturally enriching experience where every guest enjoys up-close interaction, heartfelt hospitality, and the true Spirit of Aloha.

Book your tickets now for the Experience Nutridge Luau and create cherished memories under the Hawaiian stars. It’s a perfect blend of tradition, cuisine, and entertainment that will leave you enchanted.

This truly was an experience, from the moment we were picked up from our hotel. Everyone was knowledgable, helpful and talented. They made us feel like Ohana! The shows were amazing and somewhat interactive so that we could participate. We also had a small group so we got to know the other guests too. Really worth the time we spent on this trip.

We spent a lot of time researching luaus before choosing Nutridge. The setting was absolutely marvellous. The staff was great. We recommend showing up a bit early and visiting the lookout for pictures before the luau. My daughters (teenagers) and I enjoyed our experience tremendously. One of my daughters is vegan and they accommodated her diet without problem. The food was delicious and I would recommend this luau.

My daughter and I had the best time! I’ve read reviews for other luau’s and how disappointed a person was about their experience. I wasn’t sure what to expect for this one but this was a beautiful and wonderful experience. Moat definitely worth it.

It was hands down the best luau that I have ever been to. I have been to 7 different luau’s. It was very intimate and we learned a lot. They were very entertaining and had everyone engaging and participating. I enjoyed the games and the pina colada was delicious. Definitely the only luau that I will revisit!

"An Intimate Luau"

Our group of 13 adults and teenagers thoroughly enjoyed the intimate luau at Nutridge. Other luaus in Oahu tend to be filled with crowds of hundreds, so they tend to be similar. This limited attendance so that there was more direct interaction with the performers and much more of an 'Ohana feeling. We would highly recommend this luau to anyone looking for a more authentic local experience.
