"Bed comfy but room needs an update and cleaning"

Location OK -- felt a bit sketchy (boarded up storefronts nearby), but no issues, and a well-lit parking area. The bed, shower, and tub were all great. The carpet was tattered, and given we booked a higher-end room, I was also surprised that there were no cups or glasses in the room, but not a huge deal. Sofa and chairs were worn out (leather/vinyl spiderwebbed with cracks). Towels were dirty -- one even had blood on it -- but front desk replaced them immediately. Food options sparse with a single restaurant on premises or nearby -- service was fine, if a bit slow.

We had the absolute best experience at the Crowne Plaza and especially with Denise who coordinated our wedding. She was organized, professional, kind and truly went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. The venue was absolutely beautiful, the staff was attentive, and everything ran so smoothly thanks to Denise's expertise and the staff. A special shout out to our waitress, Tina. She was amazing as well. Our guest couldn't stop complimenting the food, the service and how seamless the entire evening felt. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but Denise and the Crowne Plaza team made it feel effortless. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you for making our wedding day everything we dreamed of and more!! I would highly recommend this venue if you are planning your wedding.

Denise Peacock was my coordinator at Crowne Plaza. She made me feel like a princess and worked day and night to ensure I had the BEST wedding. Working with Denise as our wedding coordinator was truly one of the best decisions we made during our entire wedding planning process. From our very first conversation, Denise impressed us with her responsiveness, warmth, and deep knowledge of the wedding industry. She was consistently positive, professional, and full of helpful ideas that made planning feel exciting rather than overwhelming. Denise’s experience really shone through in every detail. She anticipated our needs before we even realized them, provided thoughtful suggestions, and always had a solution ready for any hiccup that came up. Her calm, solution-oriented mindset helped us navigate the more stressful moments with confidence and ease. On the day itself, everything flowed beautifully — we were able to be fully present and enjoy every moment, knowing Denise had everything under control. What sets Denise apart is not just her expertise, but her genuine care. She made us feel heard, supported, and celebrated throughout the process. Our wedding was everything we dreamed of and more, and so much of that is thanks to her incredible coordination. She was incredibly resourceful and always had vendor contacts. She understood south Asian weddings well and planned accordingly. If you're looking for someone who is organized, experienced, proactive, and an absolute joy to work with — Denise Peacock is the one. She went above and beyond for me and made my special day so beautiful. We can't recommend her highly enough!

"Do not stay here, no matter what the rate is"

Terrible hotel. Plugs didn't work, room was damp, bed shook with any slight movement, toilet didn't always flush. Saw that plungers were being carried by staff multiple times. TV was not working when we wanted to watch about 10pm. Was told maintenance would be up at 11pm. Never got a knock.

"Awful Wedding experience"

My cousin had her wedding here this past weekend and it was the WORST experience I have ever had at a wedding. They were told there are no other events when a wedding is booked, they then doubled booked with UB Football (because why would they turn down that kind of money). They had gear all over the hallway couldn't walk through. We were supposed to be let in at noon to setup for the reception. we didn't get in the room until 2:30. THIS IS THEIR WEDDING DAY! ceremony started at 4pm we had to be down there by 3:15. They were rude and told us they know what were doing. but you don't know where any of the decor goes. 3 of us had to run around trying to get things done. The coordinator was no where to be found we had to search her down. and they wouldn't even put tablecloths on so we could start decorating. It took a groomsman coming up and getting on the coordinator to get things moving. They need to hire a new coordinator IMMEDIATELY. This was so unprofessional. A wedding is a lot of money and one day, the football team could have easily booked another hotel. such a shame because the views are beautiful but do not be fooled, it was awful! They didn't even have enough runner to go down the isle and what they did have looked awful like cheap plastic table cloths. There is no excuse for us having to prepare an entire reception in 1 hour. Do not book a wedding here unless you want to be stressed out all day.
