The location is really nice walking distance from downtown. The windows were all dirty so you could not see outside the room window hardly at all. This is the first time I have ever stayed at a Marriott property and they did not give free waters. Our room was right beside the stairs so at all hours you heard people going up and down the stairs but also the door leading to the stairs. Water pressure for the showers was awful as well. All in all, it was an okay room that we hardly spent a lot of time in. Definitely have paid less for a way nicer hotel and room.

I stayed with my husband and two kids, along with my mother. We had separate rooms. They let us have an early check in which was nice. So we didn't have to wait around in Gatlinburg where it was pouring down rain. It's so close to all the shops and fun things to do with the kids. We walked everywhere. Be aware you pay $15 per day for parking... at the hotel you already paid to stay in. I've never seen that at any other hotels but okay. Also you want to get the breakfast Included with the rooms bc it will be quite pricey if you don't. I will say the French toast with strawberries was amazing. The pool and hot tub(nice and big) was clean and always empty so the kids had fun. Last thing is the washing machine ate my money and when I told the front desk she said she called maintenence and he checked it out and said nothing was wrong with it. Overall the hotel itself is nice. Some of the people working there are smug.

Pros: Great location, you can easily walk to the strip. Very quiet area. Heard no noise in our room. There's a "back way" to avoid some of the strip traffic. They have a Starbucks in their cafe. They upgraded us to a room with a balcony - the view was nice. Parking was right there / convenient / spacious. Staff were all very friendly. Safe, clean area. Room was spacious and nice. Cons: We used Marriott points - but had we not, it would have been very pricey. I likely would not have paid rack rate. It was 90+ degrees outside during our trip. We had to keep our curtains shut at all times otherwise the room would not get cool. The a/c had to run constantly and the lowest it could reach was about 71. It was fine - but until we figured out to keep curtains closed it got pretty warm. Yes - it is $15/night to park... but there are not many hotels in Gatlinburg with free parking. Pigeon Forge, though, all seem to have free parking. Also - couldn't complain since our room was free with points. Overall - for the right price, we'd stay here again.

We have stayed at this location multiple times a year since 2016......this hotel has always been top notch. However, the last couple of times we have stayed at this location we have noticed that the hotel needs some TLC. But after our last stay I will no longer be staying at this hotel because they now charge a $15.00 per parking space per night fee to their hotel guest. Seriously this hotel is not in a huge downtown location and let's be honest you already pay a premium amount of money to stay at this Marriott location.  Now in addition to the room charge you have to pay $15.00 for a parking space per night of your stay - not cool!! I will pick another hotel in downtown Gatlinburg or just stay outside of Gatlinburg either in Pigeon Forge or Sevierville (pay no parking fee) and visit Gatlinburg for the evening and pay a one-time charge of $15.00 in one of the downtown parking lots. It's a real shame that this hotel feels they need to penalize their guest for choosing to stay with them.  My opinion is you should at least receive ONE complimentary parking spot with your room and if you need more than one parking space (buses or trucks with trailers) then you pay for an additional parking space. However, it should not be $15.00 a night to a paying guest!!
