"Horrible Experience — Do NOT Stay"

I don’t usually write reviews, but my experience at the Country Inn & Suites in Williamsburg near Busch Gardens was so bad that I feel it’s important to warn others. From the moment we checked in, things felt off — and it only got worse from there. First, what they call a “suite” is completely misleading. It was just two small rooms with one king-size bed and one queen-size bed — no separate living room, no sitting area, nothing that resembled an actual suite. For the price, we expected more space and comfort, but instead, it felt cramped and poorly maintained. The first bathroom was a major red flag. The pipe connecting the toilet to the wall was not sealed properly, leaving a gap that looked unsanitary and unsafe. But the real nightmare started when we noticed bugs on the table next to the queen bed. That alone made us uncomfortable, but later that night we found roaches — yes, roaches — crawling in the room. At that point, we decided to pack our things and leave at 3:30 in the morning because there was no way we could stay there any longer. As if that wasn’t enough, the cleanliness of the room was appalling. The sheets were clearly not washed — we used a blue light, and what it revealed was disgusting. There were visible stains and clear signs of bodily fluids. The beds were in terrible condition too; one of them literally sank in the middle and was impossible to sleep on comfortably. Before we left, I spoke to the front desk associate about all of this. To his credit, he tried to help by offering a 15% discount and said the manager might approve a larger refund once they arrived in the morning. He promised that the manager would call me at 7 AM to follow up and resolve the issue. That call never came. I had to reach out myself to ask to speak with the manager, and even then, there was no real response or accountability for what happened. Between the unclean conditions, the bugs, the false advertising of the room, and the complete lack of management response, this was hands down one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. We left exhausted, disgusted, and deeply disappointed. If you’re considering staying here, don’t do it. Save yourself the frustration, money, and sleepless night. This hotel needs serious attention from corporate management and a full inspection for health and cleanliness.

"Nice, but check the walls in the bathroom"

The location is pretty good in relation to getting around the city of Williamsburg. However, you will need a vehicle to visit any restaurants, attractions, etc. My stay was really quiet. The room was clean and comfortable. The check-in was smooth and easy, and the desk clerk was pleasant. There were many good breakfast options. at the hotel. The dining room is large with plenty of seating. The dining room is also nicely decorated. On the other hand, on the right side of the building, the parking lot is in terrible condition. It has many cracks and potholes. However, the parking to the left of the building is in good condition, and the parking is ample. I found out after I settled into my room that I was given a lesser quality room. I assume this was done because I used one of the hotels offered discounts. I was assigned to a room that had an older model table top television vice a HD mounted television that I saw in several other rooms when housekeeping was servicing those rooms. In addition, I was given a room that had an unusually large hole in the wall and one smaller hole. The only reason I noticed it is because when I bent down to pick something up off the floor, I saw it. It is on the wall underneath the sink behind the shelf where the towels and washclothes are located. I was very disappointed. I saw it as a safety issue because I was concerned that a camera was in the opening. Thank goodness I saw it before I took my first shower. I immediately took a towel and wash washcloth and covered up the gaping hole.

The most absolutely disgusting hotel I’ve ever seen. Asked front desk for a different room after we saw the mung and scum all over the bathroom, ceiling, and walls. The next room was worse. They lie and tell you to call Expedia for a refund and then refuse to refund. Please check all the reviews. It’s horrendous and they reply to these reviews like they actually care what people say. They do not care at all.

"Worse Hotel"

Hotel is a catfish, my room was nasty, sheets was dirty, toilet had poop in it. We ask for new sheets, they were brought to us balled up. Room smelled like mildew. AC unit had rust falling from the bottom of it. Bathroom door didn’t shut easy, you have to push on it hard. Elevator temperature is like 200 degrees. Hallway floor looks like they let animals just pee on it. Fitness center is the size of a bathroom. Worse Hotel I’ve ever stayed in.
