"Convenient Location & Modern Rooms"
TripAdvisor user rating 4.0 out of 5

A solid choice, especially for the convenient location. The hotel is directly attached to the Sheraton and its convention facilities. No on-site breakfast included, but there's a Tim Hortons next door, plus a few Chinese restaurants within easy walking distance. Our room had two queen beds, which were comfortable, and it felt very clean and fresh, clearly recently renovated with modern finishes with a fridge and microwave. The narrow balcony was a nice touch for fresh air. The building only has two levels, but the corridors are extremely long, feels like a maze at times, and there are more stairs than you'd expect for such a low-rise property. Parking can be limited and a bit tricky, plan ahead, scout out spots early, and try to find an entrance closest to your room to avoid long treks through those endless hallways. One minor annoyance: the sliding shower door was installed at a weird angle, so it kept sliding open on its own during showers. Would stay again for the convenience to the convention center and the updated, clean room. Great value if location is your top priority.

"Employee Vicky (Front Desk) MUST BE FIRED !!!!"

The check in person employee Vicky, once again racially profiled me for the second time in a row upon check in making my stay start off annoying and stressful as hell. The last time was in the summer on July 14th 2025 when I was racially profiled and rudely treated with my little brother, this time was with my family (wife and 11 yr old son) and yet again racially profiled by the same staff member Vicky yet all over again. She was rude, condescending and very hateful in her dealings with me. I had advised her that I had already provided a credit card upon my on the phone reservation booking, she ignored me that I said that and still again proceeded to demand I give my credit card again for incidentals , I repeated to her again that I had already provided this information to the booking agent on the phone with my reservation, I provided her the certificate for my free stay with breakfast for 2 offered from the first altercation back in July complimentary of Manager Ashleigh Robbins , and gave her the reservation information which she again ignored and demanded I provide my credit card for Incidentals or she cannot check me in at all. Keep in mind all of this is happening with my wife and innocent 11 yr old son sitting on the couch in the lobby, Vicky then called a manager to assist her foolishness, he then apologized for the communication issues , again decided to charge me for incidentals despite telling him it was already charged when booking . then gave me my room keys and I left to run some errands before enjoying the rest of my stay and the room etc. This Vicky woman needs to be reprimanded and or fired . This racial profiling behavior of hers is not professional or should be tolerated and should not be allowed to repeat itself !!!!

"An Enjoyable Stay"
TripAdvisor user rating 4.0 out of 5

I stayed at the Best Western Parkway Hotel North while in Markham for a large conference. While it would’ve been ideal to stay at the hotel playing host to the conference, the Best Western proved to be a nice choice. Thankfully, a free shuttle was offered to attendees of the aforementioned conference. I was booked in a “Traditional – Two Double Beds” room and, I have to say, it was very comfortable! Especially after a “red eye” flight from BC! The room was decked out in neutral tones of grey and black, which made for a soothing environment. Importantly, the bed was very comfortable and allowed for a good night’s rest over the course of my 2-night stay. For an “unassuming room” (to use Best Western’s own words), it was pretty impressive and well-appointed with all the modern amenities we’ve come to expect: WiFi, smart flatscreen TVs, microwave, mini fridge, and a dandy work desk. Really, when traveling for business (or vacation), what more could one want? The hotel also offers a pool, fitness centre, spa, and a Starbucks on site. While I didn’t patronize the on-site restaurant during my stay, I will note that there’s a good Tim Hortons next door (see my review). I came here for lunch once and twice for dinner (I know, I was going all out!). In brief, if you’re staying in the Richmond Hill area, this Best Western is an excellent choice and option. Situated just off the highway, it provides easy access to most “greater Toronto areas.” And I just have to say it: This stay was so much better than my last stay at a Best Western property (BW Dorchester Hotel in Nanaimo, BC). There’s no comparison!

The reservation staff were great, the room was very nicely decorated and comfortable. The restaurant was in sight with delicious food. The parking was the only negative. This hotel I actually in a plaza, so finding a parking spot was difficult.
