"Nothing magical about this Disney affiliate."
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5
Reviewed December 28, 2025 NEW
We booked this hotel through Disney as part of their affiliate hotel program. It is about a 45 min walk from Disney, or a $20 CAD uber each way. We arrived on Dec 25 and realize that the hotel may have been short-staffed due to the holidays. We consider ourselves pretty easy-going travelers, but we expect to receive what we are promised when we book a hotel or accommodation. Below is a list of the cons and pros we experienced with our booking. Cons: - we arrived at 2:30 pm. There were no double bedrooms available when we arrived. We were encouraged to take a king with a pull out to be checked in right away. We had a preference for a room with two beds and pull out so we decided to wait until our official check-in time at 4:00. We waited in the lobby approximately 20 feet from the check-in desk. After 4:00 I went to ask how much longer it would be. To my surprise, I was immediately given in Room key. I can’t help but wonder how much longer we would’ve been sitting there had not gone up to double check. They took my credit card and phone number at 2:30 so I expected some type of call or text once our room was ready, but alas… we were just happy to have a nice room and get ready for our dinner reservation. - the room was clean, but the floor had not been fully vacuumed in some spots, and we found some hair in the bathtub no problem, these things happen we looked beyond it. - I took a shower and found that there was no body wash. - when we made coffee the next morning, we were disappointed to find that there was 1 caffeinated coffee pod, and 1 decaffeinated coffee pod. We decided not to ask the front desk for more. We decided to go out for coffee at the advertise Starbucks. There is no Starbucks nearby that we could find. We ended up buying coffee locally and getting more coffee supplies from target later that afternoon. - The HVAC system was horribly loud in our room. We turned it off on the first night and thankfully it was cool enough that we just left it off the entire visit. It was impossible to sleep with this noise. - We got soaked during a period of heavy rain and needed to use the on-site laundry facilities to dry our clothes. After packaging everything up I was very disappointed to find out that the laundry facilities were under maintenance and we did not have access. I called the front desk to see if there was an alternate facility on site. I was told no and told that there was a coin laundry across the street. Despite it being close, it was a $10 Uber to bring all of my heavy things across the street and then a $10 Uber back. I was offered no compensation for this inconvenience. - Fire alarm went off on Sunday, December 27. We had to walk down 12 floors. No announcement came on that it was a false alarm, at least that we could hear in the stairway. Those who chose to stay in their rooms told us afterwards that a notice came on, but we didn’t hear it. When we reached the bottom floor and went out towards the lobby because we had not seen any employees, it seemed to be business as usual, and they were checking people in. - Check out is at 11 AM. We were sitting in our room at about 9:30 AM and housekeeping let themselves in, quickly apologizing. Granted we did not have the privacy notice on the door, but we had not yet checked out and it clearly says in the room literature that they only come to clean the room every four days unless requested- we were on day 3. - When you first try to get on the Internet, it asks you to enter your Marriott Bonvoy number or join for free Wi-Fi or pay a certain amount per day. I called the Main desk to see what was going on because I was under the impression that our room included free WiFi. We were then given a code and he explained to us how to enter it. It was a very convoluted process on the same page where it asks you to login. - Absolutely no Wi-Fi on the 12th floor. My family was hotspotting my phone turns. -the on-site store was not open at all during our stay from December 25 until December 27. - one elevator bank was out of service for one day of our day, which made it tricky for us being on the 12th floor. Once it came back in service, it continued to make quite a large grinding noise around the third floor to the main floor. - we tried to heat up leftovers on day two. While the room does not have a microwave, they advertise that they have microwaves on every even floor every two floors except for 12. My daughter and I went down to the 10th floor and found the microwave to be really dirty. We used it anyway as our food was in a container and we were starving. Pros: - our beds were comfortable and clean. - there were 2 smart TVs in our unit, however we could not use either of them since the Wi-Fi was so dismal. - Target is directly across the street which made it easy to buy extra coffee pods and creamer, snacks, etc. - We requested extra blankets for our stay since our daughter decided to use the pullout couch and they were able to accommodate this request. - The room had USB and USB-C chargers as well as a wireless charging station however, it would not work for my phone. - The room was very spacious, and we felt comfortable in the space during our stay.

We booked a king room, which was huge! Bed was super comfy, lots of space in the living area and the bathroom. Loved that there was a full desk. Lots of charging ports in the room including usb and usb-c. Only thing missing that we like to have in a suite was a microwave.

"Unexpected $100 “Damage Fee” and Multiple Room Issues — Very Disappointing Experience"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5
Reviewed November 26, 2025
My family and I stayed at Anaheim Marriott Suites from November 21–23. We’ve stayed at this property several times without issue, but this visit ended with a completely unexpected and unjustified $100 charge after checkout. A couple days after leaving, I noticed an additional $100 posted to my card. When I called, Sheraine Martinez, the Front Desk Supervisor, informed me that the fee was for a “broken chair.” She sent me a photo showing a clean break on one of the chair legs — an image that wasn’t even taken inside the room. The damage shown simply does not align with normal use. If the leg were already compromised, it would have broken while someone was sitting in it or standing up. A break that clean would have been obvious, and we would have immediately noticed the chair collapsing or tipping. Nothing like that ever occurred. What concerns me even more is the claim that the room had been “thoroughly inspected” before our arrival. If that were true, several issues would have been caught: The coffee station had only decaf pods — no regular coffee — requiring me to go to the front desk. The Keurig machine did not work at all despite multiple attempts. There were holes in the bedsheets, raising questions about whether they had even been changed. Most concerning, the door deadbolt would pop out every time the door opened, preventing it from closing fully unless someone reset the handle from the inside. These issues clearly indicate the room was not properly inspected. Yet somehow, after we departed, a broken chair was “discovered” — damage that we absolutely did not cause. We have stayed at many Marriott properties over the years and have never once been accused of causing damage. I always walk the room before checkout to ensure nothing is left behind, and at no point did I encounter a broken chair on the floor or anything out of place. The way this situation was handled feels dishonest and unprofessional. For future guests, I strongly recommend having a staff member walk the room with you at checkout — or at the very least, take a quick video of the room — so you aren’t surprised with baseless charges days after your stay. I hope Marriott corporate reviews this situation closely, as this experience was far below the standard expected from the brand.
