As a long time Marriott member, I like to try the different levels of hotels they have in their group. I recently stayed at the Aloft in the UTSA area. It was completely underwhelming. I get the modern vibe of the room decor to which they are striving for but it’s just odd and does not work functionally. The room itself was in dire need of an update and cleaning. On the bright side, the reception staff was very friendly, courteous and professional. With the many positive reviews, I truly expected more. I couldn’t wait to check out.

Aloft San Antonio UTSA Area was another quick, no‑drama stay, but in a good way. The hotel felt almost brand new everything looked fresh, modern, and well‑kept. My room was clean, comfortable, and the Wi‑Fi was solid, which made it easy to unwind and catch up on things before bed. Nothing particularly stood out, but nothing went wrong either. It’s exactly the kind of predictable, contemporary setup Aloft is known for, and it worked perfectly for a short stay in the UTSA area. Overall, a clean, modern, and reliable choice if you need something simple and comfortable near UTSA.

Stayed a couple of nights last weekend for a family event in town. The room was small, but the floor plan made it very comfortable. Upon arrival, it was quite clean. Bed was comfortable. Nice sized TV but the sound seemed rather muffled. Overall, a great visit; we'd definitely return!

Highly recommend staying here, clean rooms and up to date modern. Love that they are pet friendly! We came for a one day stay all the way from Galveston Texas and let me tell you we will be coming often here. When we ran into a minor problem come check-out time we ask if we could extend our stay for a bit more. Ms. Pat (receptionist) quickly got with her supervisor Tony who quickly respond with a yes. Everyone was professional and friendly. This will be our home away home for the next couple of years since our son will be starting UTSA soon. Love how understanding and compassion they felt for the last-minute situation, please keep up the amazing customer service as for us as a family of 4 and a pug we left with a great expression.

This place looked very nice and family-friendly at first; however, our experience was disappointing. On the day we checked in, we found water on the floor coming from the AC unit. When my husband went to speak with the front desk, he was told there were no other rooms available and that this happens sometimes because there's a hole behind the AC unit that lets water in when it rains. Instead of offering a solution, he was simply given towels to dry the floor. To make matters worse, the bedsheets and towels did not appear clean, and one of the towels provided was visibly dirty. Overall, it was a frustrating experience, and we will not be returning.
