Michigan’s Adventure Halloween: 2025 In-Depth Guide

Halloween celebrations will look very different in 2025 at Michigan’s Adventure. The park will NOT be hosting any Halloween events this year. The popular Tricks & Treats Festival—as well as all other fall festivities—have been canceled, with the park closing early on September 1, 2025, rather than continuing through the usual late-October schedule.
Muskegon Turns into Bonesboro Acres? Not in 2025
Located at 4750 Whitehall Road, Muskegon, MI 49445, Michigan’s Adventure transformed its Muskegon park into a seasonal fall destination featuring themed areas such as Bonesboro Acres, which included whimsical jack-o-lantern displays, haystack photo opportunities, and beloved Peanuts characters décor to create a family-friendly Halloween atmosphere.
However, for 2025, there will be no seasonal decorations, no themed zones, and no Peanuts fall festivities due to the cancellation of all fall events.
Save These Spooktacular Dates? Not This Year
Historically, the Tricks & Treats Festival at Michigan’s Adventure ran on weekends from mid-September through early October, typically spanning around five weekends. For example, in 2024 and previous years, the festival was held Saturdays and Sundays from mid-September to mid-October with park hours generally from noon to early evening.
In 2025, the park’s last day of operation is September 1, closing before any fall or Halloween events would traditionally commence.
Who Should Brave the Boo?
Previously, the event catered to families, coaster enthusiasts, and Halloween fans seeking a kid-friendly autumn experience. Guests enjoyed costume contests, trunk-or-treat candy stops, pumpkin displays, and themed rides in a festive but not frightening environment.
However, as there are no Halloween attractions or events planned at Michigan’s Adventure for 2025, fans of the fall festivities will need to look elsewhere for seasonal fun.
Why Tricks & Treats Is a Grave Above
The beloved Tricks & Treats Festival typically included:
- Pumpkin-spiced treats and autumn-themed food options
- Live family shows and entertainment
- Costume parades and contests for kids and adults
- Festive photo zones with seasonal decorations
- Select rides operating amid the Halloween ambiance
- Trunk-or-Treat candy stations hosted from decorated vehicles
These experiences cultivated a safe, family-oriented Halloween vibe without intense scares and were a favorite fall tradition. Unfortunately, none of these will be available during 2025.
Parking Potions & Tips
Since the park will close early on September 1 and will not host any Halloween festivities, there are no special parking or event-day tips relevant for fall 2025.
Season pass holders who purchased access for a full 2025 season are being offered a complimentary Cedar Point ticket, valid on any regular operating day through November 1, 2025. Cedar Point, also owned by Cedar Fair (same parent company since 2001), offers its fall event “HalloWeekends” from September 11 through November 1, which could be an alternative destination for thrill-seekers and Halloween fans.
