"Trip from Dream to Disaster – Shocking Experience at Walt Disney World"

Trip from Dream to Disaster – Shocking Experience at Walt Disney World I travelled from the UK expecting the usual Disney magic, but instead was met with disappointment, stress, and complete indifference from staff. Our original room at All-Star Movies was dirty, run-down, and not fit for purpose. After being dismissed by staff who refused to even view the room, we were forced to pay $1,867.16 to move to Pop Century — where a cockroach ran across my elderly mother’s lap. I was also denied access to Disability Access Services despite providing details of my fibromyalgia, faecal incontinence, and borderline personality disorder. The DAS refusal, plus ride breakdowns, poor food, and Lightning Lane issues made the whole experience distressing. Disney’s resolution? A $100 credit and a refusal to escalate the matter any further. For a holiday that cost over £5,000, I expected a magical experience — not to be ignored, dismissed, and left with serious regret. I will never return to Walt Disney World, and I urge others to think twice before spending a fortune on an experience that may not live up to what’s promised.

"Nickel & dimming"
TripAdvisor user rating 3.0 out of 5

I've been a passholder for 22 years. There is a lot of nickel and dimming on Disney Resort going on the last 5/6 years. Five years after covid and paying top dollar at a value and they are 1.- no mouse keeping every day!!!!??? Get real- enough is enough. 2. Pools- come on in the summer, those pools should and need to be open from 6 am if not 7am for early bird and exercise purposes. Again years ago it used to be 24hrs. 3. Hit or miss bathtubs & Plastic showers?! Seriously - they put up price to renovate and take away tubs in some to replace with plastic showers- so cheap - whatever. Just as bad as cheapening out with rides with mostly video footage instead of animatronics. 4. They put kid amount servings on breakfast platter - ridicules. This is pathetic - A big person has to probably buy 3 plates just to barely have enough. Infuriating. 5. Bartenders there customer service skills need to be addressed at this resort and not only that they do not ask what alcohol do you want in your drink very standard and very rude not to do.

"Budget hotel, but nice"
TripAdvisor user rating 4.0 out of 5
Reviewed August 24, 2025 NEW
This is billed as a budget hotel and I would agree . It has everything you need but no extra. Room is only serviced every other day. Pool is lovely and accessible. Food court is like a cattle market and so noisy. Food was average and restaurant staff could appear vaguely cheerful. Reception staff were super helpful and so were the luggage staff and shop staff. The transport to the parks is great and regular. We enjoyed our stay, but would consider a mid range resort next time if this the example of budget. A little more detail and finesse would have been nice

"Good but could have been better"

We have just returned from All Star Movies. We stayed 3 years ago and have an amazing time so rebooked. This time we were in the Mighty Ducks area, we had to ask for our rooms to be changed as they were not clean and the Air Con whistled constantly. The food was good value, however, this time we went we found the staff very miserable with an attitude of not wanting to be there which wasn't nice. The pool area's were immaculate and the lifeguards amazing, couldn't fault them at all. Overall a good stay but I dont think I would return again.

"Good value"

The All Star Movies rooms are super cute. But I would not recommend it if you have more than 3 people. It has a queen bed, and a pull down table queen bed. Once the bed is pulled down and the table's chairs are relocated there isn't much space in the room. My ten year old loved the grounds and asked to stay there again. We stayed in the Dalmatians area (building 1) and the pool, food hall, and bus stop were a short walk. Overall it was a good experience, just a little cramped for my liking.
