"Not what we expected."
June 2019
The photos showed the hotel to be much nicer than it was. We had to pay for parking and give them a $50 deposit. That was a first for us and we have stayed in many hotels. Everything was in working order but very outdated. The air conditioner wouldn't come on. Tried to call the desk several times and it was busy. Finally figured out it had tripped, had to reset. The sheets on one of the beds was not even tucked in, hanging down to the floor. How do you miss that? I hope they were clean. We chose Wyndham because of their reputation, not this one! The staff was not very friendly, acted like we should be happy they were there to help us. No smiles and the lady that checked us out never even looked up at us. We had a 15 passenger van and no place to park at check in. They asked us to leave the check in area but wouldn't tell us where we could park. I can say we will not stay at that Wyndham again. Tripster made it easy for us to find and very easy to make reservations. Unfortunately we got what we paid for!!

"Pretty disappointed"

Let's say we only chose this hotel because we wanted to save some money, well you pay for what you get. The pictures on their website are very far from what the hotel really looks like, the service is awful and the carpet in the rooms is disgustingly dirty. Not planning on ever coming back.

"The worst hotel stay of my life. I am a world traveler."
June 2019
You will see a hotel that runs by the employees and no manager around. No one cares. Your visit is taken as granted. I was humiliated by three of the employees when I asked for help fixing my AC to get some air in the room. When I asked for the manager I was told he woul not be around for four days. No AC, widows were sealed intentionally, bed sheet was bloody and dirty. Bathroom was used. Oh, our room key did not work. The lock was not working until they showed us a work around to open our room. Overall a miserable stay. They offered us punt that I reject. I asked for my money back.

"Not like other Wyndham places I sayed in."

The first room they put us in wasn't cleaned, so they moved us into that was. I actually stayed in better ones then this one. It was all right for a motel stay, but not a Wyndham I was expecting.

"Look at pics before booking"

The room had a bad odor, carpets were nasty, parking is tight, definitely needs a remodel. Friendly front desk person, only good thing about staying there.

"Very poor quality and bad customer service"
July 2018
It was my understanding that I had reserved a room with bunk beds. At checking in they were very unhelpful and unconcerned about my needs. I went to talked to them in 3 different occasions, in 3 different dates about getting what I paid for. The last date I was there, I talk to Hispanic man seem like the manager and he replied by asking me. How many is there in your party. To which I said five, with a tone of voice he reply; your room only allows 4. To wish I didn't reply because I was being attacked. After the first night we spent there, after we came back from our trip. The room smelled like old humidity and it was humid. I asked to be moved to another room. to which, they say there is no more rooms available and that it is probably my fault cuz I left the AC on. Our towels were replaced with dirty towels. And there was cockroaches in there on the second day. This place has very bad customer service poor room service and low-quality rooms. I will never recommend wyndam.

"Bad part of San Diego"
July 2018
Booked this trip for 3 Nights with tickets to San Diego Zoo and Sea World, Hotel was very Run Down, Dirty, Stinky, Room was very smelly, we are lucky our room did not have roaches as others have posted. A/C worked but room overall was dirty and depressing. Went to the Zoo and told myself it was what you do when you are on vacation that matters, Room is just for recooperating. But 2nd night, The people above us had a kid doing laps and running back and forth really loudly, could not sleep at all, we left San Diego and cancelled our Sea World trip because we wanted to get out of there badly. Went back to Bishop Ca and stayed in a nice Hotel for the rest of our trip. Please, do not stay here if sleep and cleanliness is important.

"It's a Motel"

The room was functional, and yes, it is very close to Sea World. But know that it is a motel on a large, busy street, not a hotel. You would not catch that by looking at the website. It does have the benefit of being in a commercial area, so lots of stores (Home Depot) and restaurants. The Broken Yolk restaurant was a good choice for breakfast--it is a 2 block walk from the motel.

Rooms and bathrooms are gross... housekeeping made beds only and didn’t replace towels or throw trash away ... coffee and cups not replaced or coffee maker not cleaned out ... paying for parking is ridiculous

"If paying nearly $300 for 2 nights to stay in a crappy motel.. this is the place for you"

The person who checked us in and the supervisor (I didn't catch his or her name) were wonderful and very accommodating. The motel itself is not worth the money. I paid a $75 dog fee and there were obviously pets in the room before I got it (hair in the sofa). In addition, they seem to reuse the shampoo bottles if they are partially full. I went to ask housekeeping for another and she gave me an almost empty one. On top of that, the rooms were obviously smoking at one point in time. The walls are yellow, the fans and AC were yellow, the room smelled like they had tried to get it fresh smelling, but it wasn't de-smoked professionally in the first place. There was also paint missing on parts and the first room we were in (which thank goodness the front desk changed us out of) was missing drawer pulls and the smoke detector was yellow. The bed was also rock hard and the linens were somewhat stained (clean, but stained). The freezer in the refrigerator was completely filled with ice (looked like it had never been defrosted). It was so bad that at one point the ice broke off and landed in the bottom in the middle of the night. The only good thing was the rooms were split (sofa in one room, bed in the next sliding glass between)so my husband could watch tv (with the one remote for 2 tvs) while I read in the other room. To top it off, I wasn't told it would be $14 a day for parking (in a lot with construction all over) until after I had checked in and given my credit card. When I came down to change rooms they then had me sign something saying it was $14 a day. By that time I was already tired from travel and didn't want to fight it. I was really upset when the person that checked out before me turned her parking passes in and wasn't charged (she inquired about it but was told it wasn't on the bill so no charge). I am so very disappointed by a Wyndham property.

"Great value in a city with expensive real estate"

The suite was clean to the visible eye, except for the empty water bottle that I found between the two beds. The bathroom could benefit from a paint job, especially over the rusty door frame. The beds were a bit stiff and the ventilation fan was a bit too noisy especially that I couldn't turn it off. The location is good as it's close to highways and 10 minutes away from downtown. Good value but the hotel had seen better days for sure.
