"Locked out in the cold"

Arrival was difficult due to the poorly lit parking lot and signs. My keys had to be reactivated 2x, once leaving me locked out in the cold with my dinner in hand. The rooms and grounds were clean, and the staff was very friendly. The onsite restaurant was wonderful, just make sure to check the days of the week they are closed.

"A warm and welcome stay!"

A huge place. went during Thanksgiving week and it was very full so getting seating at breakfast a little tricky. The breakfast area seemed unorganized until you learn your way around. I only eat oatmeal so i can't comment on quality of other selections. the coffee pots were always hot and full. The maps of the grounds and Colonial Williamsburg are extremely helpful and the check in staff made sure we knew the lay of the land. It's a short walk over to the historical district but we had a little trouble finding the trailhead. Our first stay at the Woodlands was about 20 years ago and they have kept up the facility very well. Beds and room amenities just fine. Did see quite a few dogs but they didn't bother anyone. Because of the seating shortage i joined a table with 2 other ladies and we struck up wonderful conversation; lots of good advice and laughs shared.

We did not receive housekeeping one of the days. Had to run the hot water for a long time to get warm. Breakfast was nice, selections of base food changed everyday. Overall stay was just ok, nothing great. Great location for the bus to Williamsburg.

Awesome stay at The Woodlands! The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. The grounds were well maintained and nice to walk around. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choices and well stocked. Our room was very private looking out over the trees.

Lots of nice amenities and activities to do without having to leave the hotel area. Walking distance to colonial Williamsburg. Only a short drive to Busch Gardens. Good value for the money spent. My grandsons enjoyed the splash pad and heated pool, which Surprisingly was still open in October.
