"Management level customer service was poor"

The hotel kicked everyone out to accommodate for a construction delay at a local college. This inconvenience delayed our plans for the day and we were offered nothing more than setting us up to stay at another hotel. We were very disappointed that the college offering to buy out the hotel trumped guests with prior reservations. The continental breakfast was very basic with powdered rehydrated eggs, cereal, oatmeal packets and bagels.

"Eggo waffles for the win!"

This place has so much potential, I’m excited to see what it will be in a few years. We really enjoyed our stay but we are not picky travelers either. The pool and splash pad were great, our daughter loved them, and the water was warm. The staff was amazing, very informative and accommodating. They have some work being done with AC ducks hanging in the halls, the rooms could use an update and the beds were a bit smaller than what I’m used to in most hotels, I think they were a full which we missed in the booking options. When we turned on a few of the lights they flickered The bfast is a nice option, but only had meat one day on the buffet and limited options. The mini golf course looked like it could use a good cleaning and one hole was underwater but again it’s a free option with the hotel and I doubt most kids would have been bothered by it. It looks like there are making the investment to really make this a great place. I thought for the price we paid, it included two tickets into Colonial Williamsburg and the location being so close it was well worth it and I would stay again. The eggo waffles they had for breakfast were GREAT!

the location in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg is wonderful with beautiful grounds and so much to offer if you are traveling with children. We played miniture golf and swam in the lovely pool. Water was a perfect temperature and very clear. Front desk staff was very friendly!!

I enjoyed the stay here. The staff at the front desk and breakfast were all nice and helpful. Room was spacious with bedroom with a king bed overlooking the pool from the third floor with a TV, in between was a closet, sink, kitchen and bathroom and the entrance had a living room with a TV. Only minus was elevator was on one side of the building. Not near my room. It would have been nice to have elevators on both ends of the building.

Overall, a very good hotel with great service. The staff was friendly and attentive, the rooms were comfortable, and the location was excellent. I would definitely recommend it.
