HORRIBLE! Old , outdated, dirty rooms. Rude staff, very unhelpful and unapologetic . Save your time and money, go somewhere nice! Oh! Don't get manipulated by their sales staff into a timeshare "package" ! It's a complete GIMMICK! You never get to stay where you want during "peak times," because it's either sold out, or maybe they'll have one room available but will try and charge you $800 (more even though you already paid $1,200). THEN you'll have agents call you five times a day for the next two years trying to acting like the world will end of you don't book your stay "right now." The"tour* is you being hounded by zombie -like, pushy salesman who straight out lie and tell you anything to try and get you to buy. Don't fall into this trap! You'll never be able to get a refund if you do. You've been warned!

"Disappointing stay"

I had high hopes going into this vacation based on staying at Hyatt resorts literally my whole life. We had a two bedroom villa at Harmony Hill. Our check in process was generally fine. The resort is massive and it’s not easy to get to one section to the other. There are virtually no food options at this restaurant so we ended up placing a large Instacart order for groceries that night ($500 worth to get us through the week). On our first morning, much of our food that we left on the counters was covered in small ants. We ended up not having breakfast options for our kids since items needed to be thrown out and my husband went to the market to buy some more overpriced items. We tried calling the lobby and house keeping but literally no one answers the phone. I ended up texting the automated number and they indicated someone would come to take care of it. Taking care of it was sending a maintenance person who sprayed something from a bottle for about two minutes. That night we moved food from the counter to higher up in the cabinets and did our best to seal things. The next morning, we had ants all through the food in the cupboards - crawling into cereal boxes, bread, crackers, literally anything, all of which had to be thrown out. Once again we tried to contact staff and could not reach anyone and my husband had to drive to the front desk get an actual person. They told us once again someone would come which was once again someone spraying for a bottle for two minutes. We went out and stopped on way home for replacement groceries (another $200). On our third day, we had ants crawling in items that we hadn’t even opened from the store. More items thrown out and our kids were beginning to refuse to eat items. My husband again had to go to front desk who told us the head engineer had fixed the problem and would be in touch. We left for the day and heard nothing and we called again. The woman we spoke with said she could offer us $100, which www a joke. Eventually we got to a director, who said a pest service the next day and that he would reimburse for groceries if we sent the invoices. We sent the invoices. We did not hear from anyone. On our last full day of vacation, we had to go to the front desk (again) to get someone who to speak to us. This person was not updated and offered us $200. After multiple phone calls, they eventually agreed to give us $300 credit, which did not cover the amount of groceries that were ruined, the time and cost of gas to drive to multiple stores as the resort is near nothing or even bother to offer us something beyond just paying for groceries ruined. I’ve never quite experienced customer service to be so poor. The rooms are also outdated - our sinks didn’t drain, our shower drain was clogged, we didn’t have towels when we checked in. While our kids enjoyed the activities, then food options on site are not good, the pools don’t open until 9, everything is super spread out, and repeatedly there were no towels available at the pools. The resort is not really near anything and a solid 30-40 minutes to San Diego sites. We unfortunately won’t be back.

"Great Family Experience"

We were here for a quick visit following a conference in San Diego. The property was fantastic for our family of 6. Kids were ages 15-23 and they all loved it. They golfed both courses and visited 3 of the pools. We had a standard room and a suite and both were great. We stayed at the Villas on the Green and loved the views. The rooms were clean and updated. The kitchens were well stocked and we were able to have all meals in our suite. We will definitely return.

The “Resort” is beginning/is showing its’ age; the facilities seem to need to be better attended to. Maintenance seems to be lacking in the amenities. I stayed here several times 5,6 & 7 years ago and everything was stellar and excellent, so comparing apples to apples The units were clean and the kitchens were appointed with necessities. The staff was courteous and professional. IMO, it is okay to stay for a couple of nights, but beyond that, it is limited

"Your vacation will be ruined, just like mine. The worst Hyatt ever"
TripAdvisor user rating 1.0 out of 5

Be prepared your vacation will be ruined, just like mine. Front desk downgraded my room from King sweet with golf course view to small bedroom without view. They didn't say a word to me, it was complete surprise when I opened a door to the room. I asked for early check-in too -- it didn't happened. When I finally got a key after 5 pm the cleaning wasn't completed, specifically sofa bed wasn't cleaned, no toilet paper, no soap, some stinky smell in the room. The pools are chlorine stinky too very small and a lot of people trying to get in, too crowded. Front desk non-cooperative, some sick guy on reception was sneezing and couching at me trying to get me sick too. Shame on you Hyatt, this is the worst experience I ever had with Hyatt
