Just minutes from world-famous destinations San Diego Zoo's Safari Park (20 minutes), LEGOLAND (25 minutes), San Diego Zoo (40 minutes), San Diego Gaslamp District (35 minutes), SeaWorld (40 minutes), Temecula wineries (20 minutes), area casinos, and some of the most beautiful beaches (30 minutes) in the world!

Hyatt Vacation Club at The Welk offers luxurious and spacious one and two-bedroom villa suites, with panoramic views of golf courses or surrounding mountains. Villas include sitting and dining areas, complete kitchens with full cookware and dishware, patios or balconies, and complimentary high-speed internet access.

Guests will experience casual dining at Canyon Grille restaurant (not open for breakfast) or Pizza Hut Express, fun in the sun at Five Clubhouses featuring one colossal pool and seven large pools & 8 spas, two water slides, two kids' splash pads and playgrounds, table games, catch and release fishing pond, extensive fitness center, basketball court, planned activities for all age groups, lighted tennis courts, and a relaxing round of golf on one of two 18 hole golf courses.

This resort is easy to access from I-15 freeway and is just far enouch away so you do not have traffic noise. All of their facilites are well kept.

Have a lot of activities lined up and made our stay an enjoyable one. Staff are friendly and helpful. Liked the Aqua Fit the most especially with warm water in the pool

I am surprised by the negative reviews. I traveled with a party of 5 that included three 12-14-year-olds. We found the rooms clean and spacious. Everything worked as expected. A request to keep keys active a few extra hours after checkout was granted without issue. We did many activities - candy sushi, splatter room, churros and coffee, tennis, escape room, trivia night, etc. There is a little room for improvement with these activities. All said they were an hour, but ranged from 10 to 30 minutes for us, and some were missing something (e.g., trivia and nachos lacked nachos, sushi is better for little kids, etc.). And yes, restaurants are not nearby, but we picked up sandwiches from the Market at Hidden Meadows and had burgers at Side Yard. It is a 10-minute drive, and both were better than expected. We bought snacks and drinks and used the room fridge. Easy peasy. Welk has gone up in price a lot since the last time we visited (maybe 6 years ago), but we enjoyed our stay and found it worth it. The water slides are fun, the mountain view pool was empty, tennis was easy, and free equipment rentals are helpful. To management - we spent hours planning our activities. I would like to have one document that has all the info. Even with all our planning, we still did not realize that we had missed activities that would have been good for us until we were packing to leave. I guess we will need to come back for another visit!

Looks good on the outside not so hot on the inside dirty, older and peculiar smell, especially at the restaurant. The carpet is dirty. The couch smells very unfortunate cause it’s a nice property.
