"Average stay, nothing exceptional"

We recently stayed here and had a mixed experience. The room itself was okay, basic, but felt more like a budget motel. On the positive side, there was plenty of parking and it was easy to get in and out of the lot. The AC worked perfectly. The water pressure and temperature were good. The location right off the freeway is convenient. However, there were several issues. The room had no microwave, the elevators were slow, and there was no vent in the bathroom, so it stayed grossly humid after showers. There were no soap dispensers in the shower, only a small bar of soap and tiny shampoo and conditioner bottles. The room had a Keurig coffee machine with 2 regular and 2 decaf pods, for a 2 night stay. I went downstairs and found mini Starbucks Frappuccinos available for purchase in the small convenience section near the front desk, $6 each. Our windows looked directly onto the freeway which is close enough to see both into passing vehicles or into your room. The television channels are limited and the system was slow to respond. There were no dampeners on doors or drawers, so you hear a lot of slamming and banging from other guests. Also they’re undergoing renovations (read: hammers, drills, etc) from 10a-6p. The hotel sitting directly on the freeway, makes it convenient but also quite loud, and there is nothing within safe walking distance because the property is surrounded by only those freeways. The shower ceiling looks like basic painted sheetrock that already seems vulnerable to water damage, which does not inspire confidence in the long term upkeep of the property. Breakfast is $10 per person and is nothing special for the cost. There is no security on site and there are no in room safes. Overall, I would only recommend this hotel for a quick one‑night stop if you are driving through and just need a bed. I would not choose it again for a longer stay or for anyone who prioritizes safety and a quieter environment.

They are in the middle of a remodel right now so I’m trying to see the bigger picture but some things I’m just following… My work booked this for several days for me so I didn’t choose this hotel. With that being said, I was given a king suite on the 6th floor. The lobby is pretty, open and up to date, but that’s where it stops. The architecture and bubble elevators are giving mixed decades. My room, assuming it’s remodeled, is giving me motel 6 in 2009. Nice size room but the couch is burgundy, the carpet is navy, the furniture, fixtures and paint choices are all circa 2009. The bathroom is basic. This is a Marriott, remember. Low end bath products. No makeup wipes. There’s a crack in the bottom of the shower already. One of the light fixtures by the bed is cracked. The end tables are wobbly. Lighting in general is very poor. (I’d love to take pictures, but it’s too dark) There is no microwave (but has a fridge and a mini keurig). The plus side is the bed is plush and comfortable, as are the pillows. regarding the remodel, as of the week of April 6th, the pool is open. Fitness center is in rough shape. Crappy equipment that was moved into a conference room. No restaurant, just the make shift to go breakfast items for $10. The bar consists of a folding table with top shelf liquors only. $13 for a glass of wine and $9 for a 8oz cup of liquor/mixer. Construction noise is limited to bankers hours so that wasn’t an issue. Hotel itself is located in a weird industrial type area, right on a busy freeway and not a single thing within walking distance. It’ll be interesting to see what the place is like when it’s done. Some things you can’t change though, and this was an interesting add to the Marriott portfolio. (Used to be a crown plaza)

"No bar, no cafe. Pool and hot rub closed til further notice. Water shutoff for entire hotel"

booked hotel for cafe, bar, hot tub. On arrival, we were informed of a remodel happening to bar n cafe. False advertising. Just a bar cart at night, and grab n go foods in the am, that were pricy and nothing hot, nothing gluten-free, no nondairy options, no hot tea service. We had to leave for all meals. The hot tub was cloudy. A day after arrival, we got a memo that the City of Arlington was shutting off the water to the hotel and to plan ahead, and they'd have bottled water if needed. I went downstairs the next morning to get 2 bottled waters, on the house, as the memo indicated. The desk staff interrogated me to ascertain if I was going to really need the water before they handed it me. We wanted this hotel to have amenities that were listed because we needed a retreat away from family gathering over the weekend. We could have spent less $ and gotten a nice room without amenities but we splurged because the site showed a working restaurant and bar, and a working pool and hot tub. The only saving grace was that the room itself was completely remodeled, new bathroom, new bed, new linens, new furniture, new shelving, new couch, new coffeemaker, new carpet. But we could have paid less and gotten a nice room at another lodging in Arlington. We paid extra for amenities that were advertised on their site but were not there. Would recommend CALLING in advance and asking the staff what is working there before booking. Maybe eventually it will be a nice hotel but right now, it doesn't have the amenities that are advertised on their website.

"Horrible never stay."

Fu$&!) horrible hotel. I’ve stayed in many many Marriott and never had any issues but this hotel disgusts me with the way it is operated. Staff incredibly rude not helpful and MAJOR I repeat MAJOR LIARS. Major accident happened with pool. Manager had 4 staff members meet and get the same story to tell the local pd after incident had happened and child was rushed to hospital. Bad enough of a lie to have cps called on an absolutely innocent family all to try and make sure that they were “safe”from a lawsuit. Which was not even on anyone’s mind.

The worst experience I have ever had at a hotel, we were misled on providing a hotel shuttle also we were told we could stay in our room the 2 nights we were there but then moved. The room was harry and dirty. We were told we couldn’t stay because this was a premium room and we weren’t premium members.
