What is iFLY Fort Worth?

The iFLY in Fort Worth is an indoor skydiving facility that provides individuals of all ages the opportunity to experience the sensation of flying in a safe and controlled environment. Regardless of flight experience, first-time flyers and seasoned pros alike can enjoy the thrilling experience of flying inside a wind tunnel column.

Where is iFLY Fort Worth?

iFLY Fort Worth is located about 15 minutes northeast of Downtown Fort Worth at 663 Northeast Loop 820, Hurst, TX 76053.

How similar is it to the real thing?

The iFLY indoor skydiving facilities recreate the freefall portion of a skydive with its recirculating wind flow, similar to skydiving flight experiences. Skydivers worldwide use wind tunnels as training facilities because of their similarity to the real thing.

How long is each flight?

Each flight within the wind tunnel lasts 60 seconds. When jumping from an airplane, the free fall portion lasts approximately 45 seconds. The entire experience lasts approximately 1.5 hours from start to finish and includes two flights.

Is it safe?

Yes, iFLY's vertical wind tunnel uses superior technology to produce smooth wall-to-wall airflow that is safe to fly in. Certified flight instructors will also ensure safe and enjoyable flight sessions—your instructor will be with you throughout your flight, regardless of your experience level.

Is there a weight restriction?

Individuals who weigh over 300lbs will not be permitted to fly. Individuals weighing between 260–300lbs require additional evaluation by an iFLY staff member upon check-in to determine if they can be accommodated and whether additional restrictions apply.

How tall do I need to be to fly?

There are no height restrictions.

What is the age requirement?

You must be at least three (3) years or older to fly. Individuals under 18 years of age need to have a parent or guardian sign their waiver.

Are there any health restrictions?

Yes, flying is not recommended for individuals who are pregnant, have non-removable hard cast/prosthetics, head, neck, back, or shoulder injury, or have a heart condition or any other condition that may impede their ability to take part in physical activity or increase the risk of injury.

What should I wear?

Flight suits will be worn over casual clothes, preferably pants and a shirt without a collar. Comfortable, non-restrictive clothing should be worn with well-fitting, lace-up sneakers or running shoes. Flyers with long hair should secure it back braided or in a low bun to fit the helmet.

Can I wear my glasses?

Yes, iFLY has larger goggles that can fit over eyeglasses.
